Varder I'm guessing your going over Snoqualmie Pass and headed for Yakima for your Son's tournament....have fun and Good Luck for your boy. I'm really surprised Matt Eberflus is still the Head Coach of Chicago Bears this morning...... I watched that game yesterday and I was getting very concerned Da Bears were going to win and it would have effected my Pick's in Baby's Pick-em....lol BUT at the end of the game that was without a doubt the WORST Coaching I have ever seen......I'm not a Bears Fan and I was yelling at the TV "Take a time out you F-ing Idiot"......that was hard to watch.
Bear-Man Hockey is our National Sport and a Joke for you......... "Why do Canadians do it Doggie Style" ? So they can both watch the Hockey Game.
Enjoy the ride buddy. My son is a midget major so it’s his (our) last season. It’s been a journey for sure. So many car rides, hotels, lobby drinking sessions, missed fridays, etc.. Glad we did it, wouldn’t trade it for anything but glad he’s about done. I won’t miss writing those checks I’ll tell ya that.
Close, we are heading over to the Tri-Cities for the Rumble at the River. We're going to the Americans game Friday night against the Vancouver Giants, and they get to play 1-2 games on the "Event/Arena" ice, so that will be cool, we did one last year in Wenatchee on the Wild's ice. We wanted to do the Winthrop outdoor rink tournament, but there was a conflict, which is a bummer. So just to be super clear, my son is in C heh, so several of the nights we are doing are voluntary. This is his third year even skating and he started late, so we never even tried out for select B/A/AAA. He was kicking himself a bit, because some of his friends made it to B and he's about as good as they are, so he had a chance. If you did AAA, hats off to you my friend, that is absolute insanity. Traveling across the country like a professional team and spending $80k a year for your kid is dedication. I remember talking to coach about his son, who made it to the final cut, and he said, "I'm glad in a way, because even if the answer is yes, it's still no, you know?" Given next year would be 14U/Bantam and there are some really good kids bumming around in rec, I don't think we're making the jump, which is fine by me really. Traveling all over Western Washington for C is enough for me. But we were approached already for a B-level tournament team someone is putting together for next year. We did Middle School Hockey last year, and that was cool, we had a AAA player, but the vast majority was AA/A/B players, and a handful of C's like my son. And 99% 7/8th grade (13/14 yo) when he was 11, heh, which is the BIG jump in size and speed if you remember. The fact he hung with them was awesome. Fearless going for pucks against dudes twice his size. If your son was approached by some junior teams, is he going to play for a collegiate program? I would imagine the cost then comes off, but if he wants to 100% focus on college might not be the best road.
Smart Man.....I guess he gets that from his Father eh......lol I agree with Varder.........there are so many schools in the USA that he could continue to play Hockey and Focus on school. My Favourite would be # 15 ranked North Dakota Fighting Hawks......Great School and excellent sporting program. I hope you guys are Hung over from Tom Turkey and Chicago Bears firing Eberflus......lol
That is Cool Varder.......................Tri-Cities are good team and should handle the Vancouver Giants.....BUT I have to say...Go Vancouver Go....lol..........and the Americans play out of Kennewick correct ?
Yeah, Kennewick. I am a T-birds fan so I couldn't care less who wins, but I guess it'd be nice if the home team won?
Seattle is having tough year so far BUT has lots of time left to recover.....not sure if you drive up the I-5 to see the Everett Silvertips.... they lead in every category and are # 1 overall.
Playing catch up a little bit after being away all weekend but 2 things: - The 2nd TD to Keenan....Jesus Mary & Joseph. That route was NASTY. I mean as Agent 47 as a route can be. I dont expect Allen to be back with the team next year and the pragmatic side of me hopes thats the case. He's not as twitchy and his hands are no longer mega reliable, there's been way too many bad drops that have killed drives. And his run blocking has been frequently weak. But every now and then you get a glimpse that reminds you what a stud #13 used to be. The spinning TD catch against the Jags was one. This was another. Wish he could've got here 2 or 3 years sooner. - If the reports are true about JJ and Flush in the locker after the game(they've basically been corroborated) then i just want to say well fucking done! My respect for that guy has gone way up. How much sway it had on the decision i dont know, tho it couldn't have hurt. Anyway its just pleasing to hear of someone tearing a strip off Flush like that cos he more than deserved it.
Dropbox Here's the All 22 of the final two plays of the Loins game. The Backspin and Borom sack exchange, and the Rome incompletion. I've heard it reported that Rome let up on the route, but the all-22 shows that Rome was tracking over the wrong shoulder as Caleb put the ball outside the numbers with the safety over the top closing and lost a step.
It's weird that he tracks over the wrong shoulder based on the route he's running. The ball was thrown really well....if Rome tracks that correctly it has a chance to score.
Yep, if he runs through that, it's 6 all day. There was no outside leverage, and he had his man beat. That one throw, though, that Caleb dirted to DJ—I believe it was you who pointed it out was an easy 6 for DJ. As far as Backspin Jones and Larry Ghost Buster Borom, fucking bookends on the previous play exactly who was GB setting up to block except a ghost?
Probably the easiest touchdown DJ should have had all year. I've watched this play 857 times and I am still confused. I don't know what the playcall was. Looking at the center....he seems to be blocking a run, probably a draw or keeper? Not sure what Borom thinks the call is. Maybe he's blocking a draw as well but he also turns to his right after the snap and clearly has an oh shit moment when he sees the edge blowing past him. Jones engaged his man right away and seems to possibly trying to push him outside but loses badly and is useless. The guards seem to be blocking straight up? Caleb clearly isn't running a draw. Even if he wanted to he's dead after droping two and half steps. Personally? I think either Caleb calls one play and runs another or changes the play and not everyone gets the memo. And even if it was supposed to be a draw...Borom not pushing his guy outside completely prevents it from going anywhere. Just bad football all around on that one.
Overall i've liked what i've seen from him and think he has a shot to be a very successful, very well rounded WR. But Odunze has made his full allowance of rookie mistakes this season and of all varieties too.
