Looking at those conference standings Willie it appears 10 wins is probably a lock to make the playoffs.

As of now, 10 wins and in looks real promising...easily. Each Conference has 7 teams with 6 wins or better and the top 7 get in, the rest are fighting for their Wild Card lives (or bottom dwelling with the hope of a good draft come next year), especially the NFC West. Its already just about set for Playoff teams except for the positioning and home field stuff. Its interesting how a so-called parity League is basically the 'haves and have nots' this season.

Another factor which might move a few teams around is this seasons late Divisional games... down the stretch a bunch of teams are predominately playing Divisional foes. Its all very odd/unusual in my opinion.

They’re all professionals. If you don’t like it, then stop them. I don’t see it as them running up the score or trying to humiliate their opponents. they are just executing better than every team in the league.

THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING... no, my bad its just a piece of the roof in Dallas.

Hours before kickoff of tonight’s Texans-Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium, a piece of debris fell from the roof onto the playing field.

Fox 4 in Dallas describes the debris as “a large piece of metal,” which fell as the roof was being opened at the Cowboys’ home field.

No one was injured, but it fell near several people who were on the field preparing for the television broadcast, and it raises obvious safety concerns.

“We can confirm a piece of metal came loose and fell to the field (with some additional small debris) while the roof was in the process of opening. There were no injuries. It is being reviewed further, and a decision regarding the ability to re-open the roof safely will be made when possible,” the Cowboys said in a statement.

The game is scheduled to kick off at, at 8:15 p.m. ET.

Nico Collins and CeeDee Lamb are both good to go for their respective teams.

Not sure if you noticed but as of now all teams with a winning record are in the playoffs and only teams with winning records are in the playoffs.

Good eye. Thats whats so interesting to me... there is a group above .500 all playoff bound if season ended today and all the rest with terrible records. Maybe 6 teams still scratching, but its a 2 tier group over the entire League, one good or decent, one wondering to tank or not.

Have you ever seen so many hot-seat coaches?

The Texans outgained the Cowboys only 391 to 388, with Joe Mixon running for three touchdowns. He scored on runs of 45, 1 and 1 and had 20 carries for 109 yards.

C.J. Stroud finished 23-of-34 for 257 yards and an interception. Nico Collins, in his return from a hamstring injury that kept him out five games, and Tank Dell each had four catches for 54 yards.

The Texans didn’t get pressure on Rush in the first half but ended with five sacks. Danielle Hunter had two of them.

Rush went 32-of-55 for 354 yards with one touchdown and one interception, with CeeDee Lamb catching eight for 93.

Honestly seems a bit low only because a bunch have more time IMO. Next year is really going to have everyone's ass on fire if there aren't mass changes before then.

Steelers can clinch their 21st consecutive non-losing season, tying the NFL record

The 8-2 Steelers are cruising toward yet another winning season under head coach Mike Tomlin, who has never had a losing season in his coaching career. And on Thursday night they can make it 21 straight seasons without a losing record.

If they do, they’ll tie the NFL record of 21 straight seasons at .500 or better, which is currently held by the Cowboys, who never finished below .500 from 1965 to 1985.

If the Steelers win or tie against the Browns on Thursday night, they’ll be guaranteed a non-losing season this year. Their last losing season came in 2003, when they went 6-10 under head coach Bill Cowher. They haven’t finished worse than 8-8 since then.

The next-longest streak of non-losing seasons is 19 by the Patriots, who never finished worse than .500 from 2001 to 2019.

I was astonished today when I read that the Cowboys are winless at home (0-5), I didnt realize that off hand. Before getting kicked in the teeth in the Playoffs last year by Green Bay, they had run of 16 straight W's at home, so now the streak at home is 6 straight losses. The Cowboys also have the 2nd worst Points Against in the NFC at 293 just behind the Panthers at 310... Cowboys also have a points differential of -106. In one single game by the Saints early in the season, the Saints put up 6 TD's on the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, which is a TD more than the Cowboys have in total at home this season with 5. Just flat out mind-blowing, in my opinion.

This message has been brought to you by a fan who will never forget the Staubach pass to Drew Pearson versus the Vikings in December of 1975 during the closing seconds of a Playoff game where Staubach said after the game that he just threw up a 'Hail Mary'... so now you know a few things you may have not known before...

    1) My disdain for the Cowboys
    2) The origin of the term, 'Hail Mary'
    3) Im bullheaded, stubborn, and never forget some things

PRIMETIME TONIGHT - Im hoping its a good game, competitive. I know the stats/numbers are complete opposites, but you never know in todays NFL. The Browns beat the Ravens a few weeks back, so lets see what happens. Im also curious if the Steelers can get better in the redzone and actually find ways to score TD's.

And by the way... Cleveland has won eight straight home games on Thursdays, including two in the past five years over the Steelers. Lets all stick that in our pipes and smoke it. :PC:

Id be surprised, to be honest, if the Steelers didnt dominate this game. Im not sure what happened to the Browns defense and their defense would have been their bread and butter in a game like this, just to keep it close, but the Browns defense has been giving up points. Tonight, in the weather, at home, maybe they come up with some fight. I dont care what the situation is if Im on the Browns as a player, with all the problems, I would have the attitude of execution and ripping the head off of the guy in black gold across from me. I still believe the Browns players, most of them, still have personal pride and want to look good and perform, but over-all, its real tough in Cleveland as a player, coach and fan.

If I ever felt some empathy for an NFL team, its for the Browns fans. They deserve much better. Anyway, I digressed, tonight could be something different with Jameis Winston at the helm... if he's on, it might be a fun game.
