Jets player drops the ball before he gets into the endzone. Just showboating. 2-6 for a reason

Edit: Malachi Corley was the guy

And they still won the game. Stroud looks a little lost without his two top WRs

Derek Carr, as expected, is set to resume his starting duties for the New Orleans Saints.

After missing the past three games due to an oblique injury, Carr is off the final injury report and will start for New Orleans against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

On Wednesday, Carr made his return to practice and has taken part in each session throughout the week.

The NFL announced that it has fined Shepherd $11,817 for unnecessary roughness on the play in question. Kind of a lite penalty, imo.

All of those penalties have a set standard amount. The more they get the higher they go. He will be put on a watch list now though and can detrimentally start getting some questionable calls against him. That’s the bigger damage.

A potential reason to watch a Raiders game at the end of a season: if Derek Carr starts for the Saints in Week 17 and the Raiders win, Carr will become the first QB to have lost a game to every team in the league.

He wasn't terrible against the Panthers, but Carolina winning that game made them Team #31 to have beaten him. So now he only needs his former Raiders team to complete the collection.

I really didn't need to read that first thing on Monday morning. But then I went to PFT and saw that the Saints fired Dennis Allen !! There's hope yet,

One of the craziest stat lines ever: at halftime, Daniel Jones was 4 for 6 with a touchdown and a 109.7 passer rating...

    ... and 0 passing yards.

Why didn't Tampa Bay go the 2pt conversion against KC?

Honestly? Because they have a defensive HC. The vast majority of defensive HCs are conservative in the same way and lack the aggressiveness and trust in their Offense to go for it in that situation. Not all, but most and certainly Bowles. There's some fundamental truth to what gidion said. Its not just that they'd rather trust the D than the O because thats what they know, i think there is some level of fear to lose thru their O. They'd rather lose thru their D. Prob cos they see that as more correctable cos thats where their own power lies. Just one more reason why, generally speaking, an O minded HC is the play over a D minded HC in this day and age.

Either way, it was a terrible terrible mistake to not go for 2 there. And thats not hindsight, i was certain of that in the moment. You're in Mahomes house and are being offered the chance to win the game without him setting foot on the field again? And you don't take it?? Crazy to turn that down. Frankly Bowles got what he deserved.

With their beat up offense and defense that had just watched Mahomes walk down the field for the go ahead TD? I get probably 90% of situations you kick the XP to go to OT, but in that situation - away, have the defending champs on the ropes, down your top 3 WRs and your strength is the RBs and TEs and your defense just gave up a TD? Add in Patrick Mahomes is the opposing QB, it should have been a no brainer to go for the win. Losing on a 2 point attempt is better than the slow death of watching the Chiefs march down the field for the win.

For the third consecutive week, the Carolina Panthers will start Byrce Young at quarterback.
The former No. 1 overall pick will be under center when his team takes on the New York Giants in Week 10 from Munich, coach Dave Canales announced on Wednesday.

"Bryce will be starting this week," Canales told reporters. "This is about the progress from one week to the next. I preach finish. I talk about finish all the time. That's everything. Finish plays, drives, quarters, halves. Finish games. He did a fantastic job at finishing that game the right way. Finding a way to win and really battling that way, so I was really proud of Bryce for that. Took all the information and just wanted to give him another opportunity to get out there and face the Giants this week in Germany."
