Logistically, how do I handle this with designations that change on the platform afterwards?

They would need to rotate to your practice squad once/if they come back off of IR.

The money for this season gets removed from the books and they retain a season's worth of contract obligation. This also means that you carry the current cut/trade penalty numbers into the offseason as this would not count as a year off of the contract.

 

FOR EVERYONE CONSIDERING THE YEAR LONG IR

This designation does not have to be turned in until the kickoff of the 1pm games on Sunday. The Thursday night kickoff is not recognized as the deadline. However, you cannot designate a player for the season ending IR if they are injured in the week 8 Thursday night matchup. Basically, there is a grace period in the decision-making process that carries into Sunday afternoon but does not include the ability to utilize any players that have played in week 8 until the deadline.

I also noticed Diggs is still on my roster in the spreadsheet despite trading him in the offseason. I'm not sure how that affects the math since it was before we got our money partitioned for the season.

It doesn't. Your player list was the only one that got copied off of the original sheet instead of the work sheet I used for setting up this season. It's a visual error, not a clerical one.
