The good: Fields had some nice plays, but the fumbles have to stop The Bad: defense looked like they mailed in their results Where was Watt and Herbig? The Ugly: Pickens fumble was ridiculous
Missed this one and I'm off on a backpacking trip tomorrow. I thought this was one they'd get. Better return to form vs Dallas.
Good: As terrible as I think the team played as a whole, the fact that with 2 minutes left we were in a position to tie or even win the game, is a miracle, and gives me pause for hope. Nice to see Darnel getting the ball, and his first reception and run was SICK!!! Some of Fields throws…. Just wow at times, wish the offensive line would give him more time, because when he has a little time, he puts balls in tight windows and completes them. Bad: looked like a trap game, and they definitely played like it. I’ve always been a fan of Najee, and was shocked when they didn’t pick up his 5th year option, but seeing how he has played and been outperformed by any other running back we put back there, not so sure they made the wrong decision. Offensive line: a depleted Indy defense and defensive line was all over the running game and in the backfield sacking fields 4 times. They are ranked the 31st against the run and for Najee to only muster 19 yards on 13 carries is appalling. Especially when they turned the ball over to Patterson, and before he got hurt, he was running all over Indy, behind the same line. Defense. As good as they looked in the 2nd half last week, they looked the exact opposite of it, this week. The fact Flacco came in and moved at will against this team was disturbing. Watt and Herbig were pretty much neutralized all day, although Watt was held viciously on Flacco’s 1st TD pass. It definitely seems like teams are determined to double or chip TJ to prevent his effectiveness and it appears to be working. Ugly: Mental mistakes, they’re killing this team. More botched snaps that shouldn’t be happening like they are, let alone as often. Turnovers and mental errors killed us today. As previously stated, Pickens careless fumble deep in Indy territory. Some of the penalty calls. The sack on Fields I don’t feel was a roughing the passer. Same with the call against Fitzpatrick, he could have easily lit up Mitchel, and definitely let up. indy having Richardson running with the ball after just returning to the game from a big hit by Fitzpatrick, left me with my head hurting. Not sure Richardson is going to have a long career in the NFL, he seems way too brittle.
picked a good one to miss. If Najee can’t run against that defense, especially without parsons and Lawrence out, then this is going to be a long season for him.
Bad: The PF against Fitzpatrick. Can we elevate that to very bad? They've got to stop killing the game with stuff like this, you're gonna render it little more than flag football. Nothing illegal at all in that hit, defenders have to be able to break up a pass and it was clearly shoulder to shoulder. I hope Mitchel found Minkah after the game and said thanks, cos he could've knocked him into next week on that play. Clearly pulled up on the hit. Huge blown call, should've been 3rd & 10 in a 1 score game. Maybe they convert that maybe they don't, my money's on Watt/that D. Turned it into a 14point lead.
Bad: the defense looked like they forgot to get off the plane or bus whatever they took to get there. The offense not playing 60 minutes of football. Fields losing key yardage when he fears for his life and ends up taking his team out of FG position. Tomlin choosing to not put points on the board on the road on 4-1 then not giving Boz the chance at a 58 yarder in Indy which is a dome. good: the fact that we battled back! ugly: 2 turnovers, the torn Achilles to James Daniels now we have 4 lineman down Fautanu, Nate Herbig, Seomalu. Those are huge loses! Every year we seem to get killed by injuries in one area. It’s ridiculous! Last the refs are ass, they need to clean this up. Come up with a better system! The no holding calls, the fields fumble where his forearm was clearly down when touched. It’s sad!!
Good: The comeback The Bad: The comeback fell short The Ugly: Getting behind by 17 and letting RBs and WRs run wild in the first half. The Fugly: Tevor Lawrence. Now that is one ugly mofo. If my dog looked like that I'd shave his ass and make him walk backwards.
I don't like Jackson, he folds in big games. His looks has nothing to do with me not liking him or not. I got another GOOD. Darnell Washington. Finally getting the Big Fella the ball. That stiff arm was crazy, planted the dude in the ground, then hurdled the next tackler.
