Steelers travel again, third road game in four weeks. Colts are kind of banged up in the trenches right now. We have to get the running game going early and just wear the Colts defense out keeping Watt and Herbig fresh and bringing the heat. Tomlin show us some good coaching and take care of business.
I hope that the Steelers keep their eyes on this game. The cowboys are coming to Pittsburgh next week and it’s a prime time game , the players better keep focused on the present and not the future.
I feel good on this one. Historically, the Steelers have done well vs the Colts, except last year. (Stinking Minshew. I still love him though). Richardson has been so erratic and he basically a raw rookie. The Colts D is not very good. Pound the ball and let JF work.
I hope this isn’t a trap game where they are caught looking ahead to Dallas, Steelers have a history of playing down at times to competition and losing games they should win. If they keep Richardson contained inside the pocket, I think this should be an easy win, but the Steelers MO of keeping the game to a 1 score margin scares me. Look forward to seeing the offensive line continue to develop and watching Frazier in the middle of it all. Was hoping Isaac would be back because he just makes the line that much better, but he’s listed as doubtful so we’ll have to wait on him. I’m still waiting to see the Steelers just run all over their opponents, but the second half last week gives optimism. Want to see Jones just level people this week. I don’t think he wore his elbow brace last week, and not sure if that helped him in his performance, or that he’s a little healthier and was able to be more dominant than in previous weeks. Not sure if his injury also contributed to his penalties as he tried to overcompensate for injury or not. Hoping to see Fields continue to grow in the offense, think if he had a better 2nd option to go to, he could be very dangerous. Last week, he didn’t appear shell shocked when his 1st read wasn’t there. Hope that continues and he gets the ability to make some more down the field throws. Think Herbig has the opportunity to have a huge game as the focus will squarely be on stopping TJ, with Highsmith out. Love what I’m seeing from Porter in regard to his tackling. It definitely appears it’s something he’s worked on and is paying off, remember, that was supposed to be a weakness coming out of college.
Not a good start for the defense, Indy marched down the field with almost little to no resistance. Even their rushing attack ran at will. Let’s see what the offense responds with.
Richardson comes back in 2 plays later, and they run him and takes another big hit by Fitzpatrick … heading to the locker room
I worried about this being a trap game… neither side of the ball is doing shit. And to think Indy’s defense has a bunch of players out as well. Richardson is officially ruled out for the game.
Is it just me, but much like with Warren, when anyone is running the ball other than Najee, and the running game just does so much better
