The good: starting with a w this season Offense took care of the ball. Najee ran with attitude Pickens made some big plays. Defense was solid, kept the Falcons under 17 like I said before the game TJ, Alex and Nick brought pressure on cousins Boswell was the player of the game Got off a good punt in an emergency situation The defensive backfield looked good The Bad: Injury to Johnston Refs looked like they had money on the Falcons
Well, I had to follow via stats a highlights, but a win is really nice. Pickens and Boz were great from what I saw. Watt and the D seemed to do well. Even Jackson paid off today. No turnovers. The bad is that they've got to put it in the endzone. All the FGs except the last one were of the long variety so they didn't seem to move the ball well. To me, and I only saw the game zone, but why go for it on 4th and 1 from the six when you're up by five. Take the eight point lead. 1-0 and leading the north.
The Good: The Boz, TJ Watt and the Defense. The Secondary with actual interceptions. First place and Cincy and Cleveland look pathetic and they played at home. It doesn't get easier for Burrow either, they face Mahomes and the Chiefs next week. The Browns get the jagovs, on the road, they could both be 0-2. The Bad: From what I read the refs sucked moose dix. Fields unable to put it in the endzone. Heard Spencer Anderson did not have a particularly good game. The Ugly: Injury to the Punter, Johnston. Please for the love of Jehova, do not bring back Harvin. The Ravens get The Raiders for their home opener. Week 3 the Patriots and Jets play Thursday, which means neither team will be the feature at 1PM for local games. However, I think they'll screw me over and give me the Fudge Packers vs.TN.
Hoping for Corliss Waitman or Brad Wing. Or even Berry. If it is Harvin, at least he has proven to be trusted holder and has good hang time and the coverage team won’t have to cover on his shanked kicks
One more good, they actually threw to ball to Darnell Washington ! It's a No for me on Harvin. (Simon Cowell voice) I watched the rookie Punter for The Bengals yesterday blast an 80 yarder and a 70 yarder, it was insane. It looks like NE and Pitt are employing the same strategy. Solid Defense, good Special Teams, Run the Ball, have a QB (Brisette) not fuck things up playing hero ball. And plus 1 on Jared Mayo not pushing Drake Maye out there to be slaughtered. I wasn't impressed with Buffalo, they lost way too much in Free Agency. The Jury is still out on the Jets, keep an eye on Moses and Smith to see if they are fully healed or not aged overnight. Put this in your draft pipe and smoke it, for all of the naysayers on Broderick Jones, he is starting. Cannot say that for Will McDonald IV, they guy Pittsburgh sniped the Jets with and hoodie stabbed them in the back on his way out the door. Conversely Anton Harrison is starting for the Jags and playing good ball he was the next BPA for OT 2023. Maybe taking Fashanu will help them down the road, but sand in the hour glass on Aaron Rodgers is almost all on the bottom. Reminds me of a song, dating myself, Windmill in your Mind from 1968 The Thomas Crown Affair. I am a huge Steve McQueen fan and to be honest the reason I never smoked cigarettes. Bo Nix looks like a rookie, played hero ball, had 2 picks and 2 others that could have been. I think Tomlin rests Wilson another week and starts him in the home opener. Fields has to do more of the same, don't throw ints, throw the ball away, run to get the chains moving.
Steelers bringing back Terrell Edmunds after Beanie Bishop gave up the gift TD to Pitts, Looking for more experience in the secondary. Bishop or Rush will end up designated to the PS>
Not mad at that at all. But they won’t need to make a corresponding roster move once they send Johnston to IR. Only had 52 on the roster when they sent Lee to IR. Skoronik (sp?) was an elevation so he’s back to PS
I disagree, he was a Steady Eddie, really wasn't burnt often or out of position. This has to stem from beefing up our run support, and Beanie Bishop's learning curve, giving Pitts a free pass in the endzone.
Zach Frazier had a really good game. I was going to say for a rookie, but he played good for a vet let alone a rookie. He is our next great center
Edmunds got unnecessary hate. He was never going to be a stud SS, plus following Troy doesn’t help; but he did his job and did it very well. He was never flashy. He just brought his hard hat and lunchpail, and just went to work.
Sure counted as 7 points on the score board. Don’t see how that makes it bogus. Bad calls happen, doesn’t excuse what happens after it. Beanie struggled, in comes Edmunds. I’d be open for Edmunds to play in nickel and dime, maybe take some snaps from Kazee.
