I know but I can see them both seeing time. Mayer to me at least seemed more of a very solid #2 TE but seeing the field often.
They invested a high second in the position last season, so I'm thinking a lot of 21 personnel is on the way in LV.
Bowers could be the second coming of Gronk without the meathead persona (which I loved by the way). Patriots always had another TE with Gronk and he thrived. Bowers and Mayer can do the same. Aiden O’Connell or Minshew will have some fun this year with the weapons the Raiders have.
I think we are running out of first round offensive players. Who ever said teams won’t draft for need in the first round?
Colts take the 1st defensive player Laiatu Latu. The first defensive player I expected but much later. And RT took him in the mock... but I bet he wasn't his first pick on D.
I still can’t believe Penix went 8 and Nix 12. I’m legit shocked. Those guys were second rounders all day to me. A guy who writes for the giants SB Nation site was explaining earlier the way he saw it was actually Williams in a class by himself, then 4 “pick your preference” prospects then Penix. I guess if you look at it that it makes more sense. But I’m dumbfounded here that 6 went in 12 slots. I didn’t really want Penix or Nix even in the second so I guess I’m glad they went early.
