Sent you a PM about a possible trade-up @gidion72 Green Bay looking to trade up from 41 as long as our player is still there.
Board is updated. It took a while for the Chop Robinson pick to get listed, but it's there. Reminder for everyone since we're about to hit round two: if you want to know if Your Guy is still available or has been taken already, one way to do it is to use the search bar up at the top right side of this web page. It's better than the basic control-F because it can search through all pages of this thread or even all threads on this forum. Another way is in the spreadsheet, which is embedded in the first message on page 1 of this thread. Right next to the tab for the current round, the next tab over is called Big Board, and it has a huge list of draft prospects sorted alphabetically (by first name - sorry). If you see a number to the left of the name, that was the overall pick when the guy was taken. So... if you want to know whether Steele Judy is still available, scroll down the list to names beginning with S, and you'll see two things. (1) yes, there really is a draft prospect named Steele Judy. I didn't make it up. Might be the best name in this draft class. (2) There's no number next to his name yet, so he's still available if you want to draft him with your next pick.
Dang I just looked and realized after trading away my second round pick I wait from Sunday at 6:00 pm to Thursday at 9:30 am between picks. Ouch.
Definitely a cost to getting your guy. I’ve been fighting the urge to trade up for the last 12 or so picks
I just didn't realize it would be the better part of a week between picks. Definitely worth it just a surprise. Interestingly Peter Schrager, who has known Schoen for years, proposed the Giants moving up to 4 for McCarthy today. I like the deal we did here better (he traded #70 and next years 2 instead) but the thinking seems sound. Giants don't HAVE to make a move but everyone and their mother thinks it's time except for a few random Jones stans.
I’m on the fence for the Giants to make this move. On one hand, it’s obvious Jones will not be the long term answer. On the other, they are going to need to be patient with JJ. Preferably, sitting him behind Dimes for every game but the last, no matter how loud the NY media machine cranks up the rabble. I think it’s worth the risk.
As previously noted Pats are open to trading down here. Meeting with a landscape contractor for the next little bit so may be offline for the next 20 mins or so but will make a pick by noon if no acceptable offers come in
The Peyton Wilson pick was a no brainer, partially after getting super-sniped in the last draft (sorry no mega chubs this time). Luke Keuchly gave a ringing endorsement of Wilson, which tells me a lot. Add in there’s a hole in that defense that’s searching for a leader, along with the GM Dan Morgan more than likely having a lot of say in the pick. It became a slam dunk in this mock.
