Ok, before the 49ers make their final pick of the draft, I want to give @Willie a big thank you for basically running this whole thing.
    :bravo:

Without Will, this mock ends up a cluster fuck.

    Las Vegas Raiders

    1(13): Quinyon Mitchell CB/Toledo

    2(44): Michael Penix Jr. QB/Washington

    3(79): Roger Rosengarten OT/Washington

4(112): Mason McCormick iOL/South Dakota State

    5(149): Will Shipley RB/Clemson

    6(187): Gabe Hall DL/Baylor

    6(208): Xavier Thomas EDGE/Clemson

    7(223): Edefuan Ulofoshio LB/Washington

    7(229): C.J. Hanson iOL/Holy Cross

Went value for a lot of this draft, but remade the offense for 2025 essentially. Penix could sit for a bit and start midseason. Shipley can earn a role with Zamir/Mattison. The OL will be remade with Rosengarten and McCormick starting sooner rather than later, and Hanson as a developmental piece. Wanted to hit defense more, but Mitchell is a CB1 stud while Hall/Thomas/Ulofoshio give athletic fits that can be rotational with development. Wish I had hit WR, but the value was never there to me.

    Houston Texans

    2(52): Braden Fiske DL/Florida State

    2(59): Cole Bishop S/Utah

    3(83): Trevin Wallace LB/Kentucky

    3(86): Blake Corum RB/Michigan

    4(123): Jared Wiley TE/TCU

    4(127): Beaux Limmer iOL/Arkansas

    5(164): Christian Jones OT/Texas

    7(238): Tory Taylor P/Iowa

    7(247): Willie Drew CB/Virginia State

Attacked the defense early as the weakness for the Texans. Fiske is an instant starter and difference maker. Bishop should start by 2025 and Wallace could earn a rotation spot this year. I like Drew as a practice squad corner to bring along. On the offensive side, Corum fits the scheme well and can run the zone scheme while Mixon runs the gap plays. Wiley is a big TE who adds a red zone threat to back-up Dalton Schults. Limmer and Jones were values to me who can be swing back-ups to multiple positions. Taylor was just a value pick and can compete with Townsend this year.

With their last pick in the 7th round, Green Bay selects:

    PACKERS:
    1.25- Cooper DeJean, DB, Iowa
    2.41- Kingsley Suamatala, OL, BYU
    2.58- Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee
3.88- Jaden Hicks, S, Washington St.
3.91- Cooper Beebe, G, Kansas St.
4.126- Hunter Nourzad, C, Penn St.
5.169- Jaheim Bell, H-Back, Florida St.
6.202- Curtis Jacobs, LB, Penn St.
    6.219- Dwight McGlothern, CB, Arkansas
7.245- Jalen Crumedy, DT, Mississippi St.
7.255- J.D. Bertrand, LB, Notre Dame

Definitely shored up the offensive line and defensive backfield in this draft. Would have liked to add a linebacker sooner, but maybe they could pick up a veteran starter after cuts begin.

Washington has a lot of needs, so I tried to just go with BPA at each pick. I think they ended up with a nice haul!

  20. Torgo M.V.P. Manager Falcons

    Falcons recap...

QB = Kirk Cousins, Taylor Heinecke, Joe Milton III

I wanted a QB#3. Milton is a QB#3. I wanted a QB#3 with something interesting to work with. Milton can throw 70+ yards. That's interesting. No pressure on him this year at all. The goal would be for the coaches to work with him on footwork and touch this year and see if he's really NFL material. Then get him up to QB2 next year when Heinecke's contract has expired, and keep working with him to see if he might be the successor to Cousins.

RB = Bijan Robinson, Tyler Allgeier, Avery Williams, Isaac Guerendo

No pressure on Guerendo either. He's my choice for added depth/change of pace because (a) he can be a home run threat catching passes in the flat, (b) with the new kickoff rules, he might be a contender for the KR role. He might be RB#3 ahead of Avery Williams.

WR = Drake London, (TE Kyle Pitts splitting out as WR), Darnell Mooney, Rondale Moore, Malachi Corley, KhaDarel Hodge, Ray-Ray McCloud

It should be obvious by now that I'm loading up with the "next wave" of reserves/developmental talent. It was a deep WR class this year, so I was able to get Corley in the third round. I'm happy with that. (Side note: I'm also looking forward to seeing how well KhaDarel Hodge does with Cousins at QB. He hasn't been used all that much on offense but has been surprisingly productive when his number has been called.)

Edge = Dallas Turner, Arnold Ebiketie, Lorenzo Carter, (ILB Kaden Elliss?), DeAngelo Malone

Turner is obviously an instant starter and hopefully an instant impact player. Atlanta is moving from the base 4-3 they played under Ryan Nielsen last year to a new scheme under head coach Raheem Morris that has been announced as a base 3-4. So Turner will be rushing from a 3-4 OLB spot, which fits him perfectly. Kaden Elliss is a wild card... he played edge late in the 2022 season for New Orleans and racked up six sacks in seven games. Will the new coaching staff take advantage of his skills as an edge rusher?

Interior DL = Grady Jarrett, David Onyemata, Ta'Quon Graham, Maason Smith, Eddie Goldman, Zach Harrison

Smith figures to work in rotation with Ta'Quon Graham at one of the DE spots. Both suffered knee injuries that ruined their 2022 seasons and worked their way back in 2023.

ILB = Kaden Elliss, Troy Andersen, Nate Landman, Jordan Magee

An undersized, quick, athletic linebacker drafted by the Falcons? Inconceivable! Grades on Magee seem to be all over the place, but I don't care. He'll be a core special teams player from day one, depth at linebacker, and he might cross-train at safety.

CB = A.J. Terrell, Kevin King, Antonio Hamilton, Mike Hughes, Max Melton, Dee Alford, Clark Phillips III

The real team signed Hamilton and King after the draft started, which changes the need situation significantly. But Melton still fits. I took him over more polished alternatives because he has the athleticism that can't be coached, and we have a great group of coaches for the secondary. He'll be challenging for a starting role across from Terrell by midseason.

Safety = Jesse Bates III, Richie Grant, DeMarcco Hellams, Malik Mustapha

Another one with no pressure. Hellams was a late rounder last year who blossomed as a rookie. Mustapha has similar traits.
