Well, here I am, back from my homeland in time to create today's game thread. Mexico was muy caliente  but the cervaza, tequila and submarino were muy delicioso. Las bebidas estuvieron tan buenas, ¡Salud!

Donta Foreman probably played his last game as a bear. Is a healthy scratch and took to social media with expressing his displeasure about how cold the business is.

Atlanta has been giving up 130 yards rushing per game for the past 3 games. They average 115 yards rushing given up for the whole season, so Herbert and Roschon better feast.

I don't care how banged up the WRs are. Velus Jones doesn't need to be on my television today.

It's cold and snowy today in Chicago. Love seeing a dome team from the south come up for this. Now if only Alabama or Georgia could do the same.

I love your comment about the dome team coming to Chicago on such a wintry day.
I'll second that and up it by saying I hope they all get the chills running out onto the field!

LOL, the game day threads are a wasteland now, only pat keeping the dream alive.

I get cardinals are ass, but I am starting to come around, Fields was throwing absolute dimes and WITH anticipation. Patrick and Davis suck, but Dexter is coming on, Sweat is a good pickup, Moore looks great.

Next week is going to be HUGE. If Fields can come out with a statement game against the hated in a down year for them too, IN Lambeau? We might be trading and stacking up.

The problems are still here on this team, I don't believe in Flus or Getsy, and I'm probably just emotionally invested, but damn it, this is the Bears and what they do. I might be mentally ill.

My PTSD is kicking in, and I'm seeing shades of Pace / Nagy / Trubisky, and that they just run it back next year with the same crew because of wins at the end of the season.

I want the Bears to win. I just want the Bears to win more in the future, as well. And I don't think this is the crew to get it done with. If Fields remains the QB, I'm genuinely fine with that - he has several outstanding qualities that you can win with. I didn't think that Lamar Jackson was going to be the guy for Baltimore, but they put the right offense and talent around him, and he's leading MVP talks. The Bears don't have the right offense (HC and OC) or talent (OL and receiving weapons outside of Moore) to win with Fields or, frankly, any other QB.

Get rid of the clowns running things, put the talent and coaching around Fields that he needs, and continue to build the trenches on both sides of the ball.

That said, if you plan on winning, you aren't going to have #1 overall again in the future. So, do you take a QB now? I guess if you think the Messiah is in this draft, sure. I'm not sold on Caleb Williams - he's outstandingly talented, but he played a lot of hero ball at USC, and that's precisely why Fields has been failing in Chicago. If you're going to put the structure around him, sure, but you have to do that for Fields as well, either way. I haven't watched enough of Maye, so I'll reserve judgement.

Anyway, rambling. The Bears aren't contending for the playoffs, so these games are really just evaluations for next year.

That was a nice win. I want to trust Fields. But there are a whole lot of smart people calling Caleb Williams a bona fide slam dunk. I mean if his floor is Fields it’s worth it just to save the $ and build the rest of the team up a la the eagles. I mean is Fields going to be better than say Cutler? Is Getsy holding Fields back or his below par accuracy? I don’t get the apex predator vibe from Fields the way I see it in Lamar. I trust Flus to promote Hoke to defensive coordinator and keep that side of the ball on the right track but like Lovie will he ever be able to get the offense right?
