Offense looked good except for the score board Pickett played his best game of the season Najee ran like he was told that Warren would take his job if he didn’t perform Friermuth was awesome The TEs played great as a group TJ got off We kept Mixon under control Thompson got a timely pick Boz was money
The good. Pickett looked a bit more comfortable. Muth was a big part of that. The offense spread it around. Watt is a game wrecker and showed it today...again. Boz is great. The bad: still not scoring. The ugly: bad call took away a TD The other good is the Colts are 6-5 and minshew had a good game. I hope they win every game except the Steelers one. 7-4 and the O took a big step. Keep it up.
Good: Najee, 'Muth, Pickens. A win in the division. 400 yards, PIckett threw over the middle. Elandon Roberts & Keanu Benton and the run D stuffed Mixon to 16 yards on 8 carries. TJ Watt two sacks and a strip. Bad: Dionte Johnson dropping the TD, then he plays dead on the fumble, thank Goodness for Connor Heyward. The refs were bad, both teams got gyped or gifted. Watt with the late hit, just frustration but he knows better. Ugly: Come on man, how does the ball pop up in the air 3 times on deflected balls and twice it ends up in JaMar Chase's hands. Then the fumbles both bounce right to Bengals players. 16 points ain't cutting it guys.
One other thing that we need is for Tomlin to get his head out of his rear end and be able to make challenges when they are needed.
One note here: this was Najee Harris’s first game without Canada . Notice the formations and how he ran with power
Good: so imagine being a Jet or Patriot fan. One thing that can’t be debated Mac Jones and Zac Wilson blow. I’ll take Pickett over those two clowns .
I don't want to be a party pooper but let's not pretend Pickett played better than he did. He made a couple plays. He didn't do it consistently and continued to fail in ways that he shouldn't be at this point in his development. He hasn't come even close to staking a claim as a franchise QB. Hopefully, he can build from this.
I love that they all think we ran a diffrent offense when you pointed out weeks ago there were routes being run over the middle he just wasnt throwing there. For whatever reason he did this week but it was a lot of the same plays.
Was it just a point of emphasis? Did they tweak those plays to make the progression of reads different? We're the plays called at different times because the person calling them had a better flow for the game and what the defense was going to do? I really don't know, that's why I ask. As far as Kenny is concerned, my optimism went by the wayside earlier this year and it'll take more than what I saw to bring it back. Still, the schedule is manageable and the D is 5th in scoring allowed so the playoffs are going to happen.
