Colts just released Shaq Leanard ILB. Might go unclaimed because of high salary. Would be nice on the Steelers
Deshaun Watson underwent successful surgery on the displaced fracture in his throwing shoulder on Tuesday, the Browns announced. Watson's rehab process is scheduled to begin on Friday, per the team, and he is expected to be fully recovered prior to the start of the 2024 season. Hold your breath.
The Chiefs miss Tyreek Hill big time to see him do what he is doing with the Miami Dolphins when he used do the same thing with the Chiefs
Gotta give big time props to Mahomes. In the interview after the game, he put the blame on himself for not making better throws. And he said it with a straight face.
They miss a another reliable receiver. They didnt miss Hill last year when they won a SB. Juju didnt set the world on fire as a chief but he did give Mahomes another target he could go to on third down that was more than likley to make the catch. If just one of the wrs steps up they very well could win back to back sbs because that defense is keeping them in games despite turnovers and drops by the offense.
Geno Smith (right elbow) is questionable for Week 12 against the 49ers. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said earlier today that there is “optimism” that Smith will be able to play on Thursday. After practice, Pete Carroll told reporters he expects Geno to play. He was limited in practice this week and Rapoport noted that he hadn’t thrown much on Monday or Tuesday. It sounds like Smith is dealing with a pain tolerance issue in his throwing elbow that he will ultimately play through, though fantasy managers will want to check in when the Seahawks drop their inactives to be sure. The injury and a tough matchup versus the 49ers will drop Smith out of the QB1 ranks for Week 12.
Derek Carr will be back at quarterback for the Saints on Sunday. Carr suffered a concussion in Week 10 and remained in the concussion protocol to start this week, but he has cleared the final stages. Carr was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and he was removed from the injury report entirely on Thursday, which puts him on track to play against the Falcons in Atlanta this weekend. Carr has started every game in his first season with the Saints and their Week 11 bye was well-timed in regard to giving him enough time to keep that streak alive. That’s a plus for the Saints as they can strengthen their hold on first place in the NFC South with a win this weekend. The Saints got offensive linemen James Hurst (illness) and Ryan Ramczyk (knee, rest) back at practice Thursday, but cornerback Marshon Lattimore (ankle) and running back Kendre Miller (ankle) remained out of action.

Report: Mac Jones to start for Patriots The Patriots have kept silent about their quarterback plans for the last two weeks, but it looks like there wasn’t much reason to do so. According to multiple reports, Mac Jones will remain the team’s starting quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Giants. Jones has started every game for New England this season, but he was pulled for the final drive of their Week 10 loss to the Colts in Germany. Bailey Zappe threw an interception after a fake spike to end that game and some thought that the Patriots’ unwillingness to name a starting quarterback signaled that they would make a lasting change at the position. It seems head coach Bill Belichick opted to go the other direction, however, and Jones will kept another chance to try to lead the Patriots to their third win of the 2023 season. On the other side of the field at MetLife Stadium, Giants rookie Tommy DeVito will be trying to extend the Giants’ winning streak to two straight games. NBC
