As they say if you don't want to get screwed by the refs don't put yourself in a position to be screwed by the refs.
That's almost impossible to avoid. The refs have more positions for screwing teams than the Kama Sutra.
And not really done the easy way either, BUT, they are getting it done. Last 2 weeks have seen a lot of yardage compiled by Ridder, still laden with mistakes, but he's improving along with the offense. Went into TB and threw for 250 (no TD, but no INT either) and as a team they put up 400+ against a pretty damn good defense playing in their yard. Still too many turnovers from the offense, but Ridder only sacked once, but they survived. Defense has been consistent which is a huge improvement over last season, which was their biggest nock against, so the Falcons are becoming a balanced football team.
Ive been hearing BB is skating on thin ice in New England, then yesterday I read he signed a multi-year extension back during the off-season that was done secretively. Has anyone else heard that?
This has been one wacky NFL season too me and very unpredictable. If the Vikings can pull a W out of their asses tonight vs the 49ers, then the wacky cycle is in full effect.
Nick Sirianni tells Jeffrey Lurie, “Thanks for the $100 million to pay A.J. Brown” When the Eagles made the draft-day move to send the Titans a first-round pick for AJ Brown last year, they also met the price the Titans wouldn’t pay Brown and gave him a four-year, $100 million contract. Nick Sirianni thinks it was money well spent — and is thanking owner Jeffrey Lurie for spending it. Sirianni said that during a practice last week, as Brown was showing once again why he’s such a vital part of the Eagles’ offense, Sirianni went over to Lurie to thank him for making the financial commitment necessary to bring him to Philadelphia. “This week at practice, A.J. was having an unbelievable practice, and I went up to Mr. Lurie — and there’s no way I ever thought this would come out of my mouth — ‘Thanks for the $100 million to pay A.J. Brown. I really appreciate that.’ Like, a guy from Jamestown, New York? There’s no way I thought I’d ever say, ‘Thanks for the $100 million to pay A.J. Brown,’” Sirianni said. Brown caught 10 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown in Sunday night’s win over the Dolphins and now has five straight games with at least 125 receiving yards. He’s been worth the draft pick, and the money, the Eagles paid for him. PFT
One of Kansas City's top defenders will have to watch his teammates play without him for the next couple of months. Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton suffered a dislocated wrist that will require surgery, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Monday, per a source. Bolton is expected to miss roughly two months, per Pelissero.
Dawson Knox to undergo wrist surgery, no timeline yet for his return The Bills won’t have one of their key offensive contributors for a bit. Head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Monday that Knox will undergo wrist surgery to deal with a lingering injury first suffered against the Jaguars. But McDermott noted there isn’t currently a timeline for Knox’s return. “I wish I could tell you. It’s too early right now,” McDermott said. “The decision was just made to go ahead and get that done.” Knox played 63 percent of Buffalo’s offensive snaps on Sunday. He had one catch on three targets for 10 yards. In seven games, Knox has recorded 15 catches for 102 yards with one TD this season. With Knox out, the Bills will likely rely more on rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid. He led the team with eight catches for 75 yards in Sunday’s loss. “Very impressed and it was great to see, honestly,” McDermott said of Kincaid. “It’s good for our offense. The question was asked earlier about some of the things I saw yesterday and I was happy with that to say the least. “That’s something that we’ve needed to get going for some time now. And obviously, he was out the week prior with a concussion so it’s good to see him getting going, building a rapport with Josh [Allen]. I think that can help us moving forward here.” The No. 25 overall pick of this year’s draft, Kincaid has recorded 25 receptions for 193 yards in six games so far this year. NBC __________ _________________ I bet Kincaid will do just fine.
Rams rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua is continuing to compile historic numbers to start his career. In Sunday’s loss to the Rams, Nacua was great in an otherwise rough outing for the pass offense: Matthew Stafford completed eight of 12 passes for 154 yards when throwing to Nacua, and Stafford completed just six of 17 passes for 77 yards when throwing to anyone else. In his seven-game NFL career, Nacua now has 58 catches, the most ever in a player’s first seven games. He only needs one catch on Sunday against the Cowboys to set a new NFL record for the most catches in a player’s first eight games. With 752 yards through seven games, Nacua joins Ja’Marr Chase (754 yards in 2021) as the only two players in NFL history with at least 700 receiving yards in their first seven career games. Nacua is also the first player in 40 years to have at least four 100-yard receiving games within the first seven games of his career. Nacua was the 20th wide receiver selected in the 2023 NFL draft, but he’s putting up rookie numbers that put most first-round picks to shame. PFT
I dont remember if i reported this or not, but Kareem Jackson gets 4 games for repeated Unnecessary roughing violations. NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report that Jackson is appealing the suspension, per sources. Prior to Sunday's hit, Jackson had been fined four times this season for illegal hits, Pelissero reported. Jackson's four-game suspension is the longest for violating a player-safety rule since Vontaze Burfict (12 games) and Myles Garrett (six games) in 2019, according to NFL Research. Burfict was suspended for targeting and Garrett for unsportsmanlike conduct after swinging a helmet at Mason Rudolph. Jackson would be eligible to return from the suspension to the Broncos' active roster on Monday, Nov. 27, following the team's Week 12 against the Browns.
Well, the fines wernt working, so the time off might and he still gets docked quite a bit of cash monies.
