How many times is he gonna say steal a few yards?

That's such a good score. Please don't fuck this up.

We root for the bears. We’re all too accustomed to the many colorful ways to describe ‘garbage time’ points/yards

    This isnt helping negotiations heh.

Yeah tend to agree. Think they're gonna try to get it done, just dont think it will succeed. Then again Poles clearly has some inexplicable boner for DBs so who the hell knows.

    They're all ready!
No kale either by the way, just lots of meat and dripping with mustard and hot sauce!

Gotta get the beer. Back in a shake...

#29 gives up the late TD. Been a pretty brutal game.

I actually like that approach. Just rocket one directly at a defender and hope for a lucky bounce.

5 wins for Eberflus. Took nearly a season and a half.

Jeff Joniak with the call of the game. “Cole Kmet makes his first catch” (on the onside kick lol)

Wins for the Giants and Patriots today as well. Very nice indeed.

Didn't get to see the game, took my son to a fucking 7am hockey practice and passed out afterward, when I woke up the game was over, so had to rely on this thread and the boxscore.

I didn't expect an asswhooping. The numbers for Bagent and Foreman are surprisingly not as high as I'd expect from that score, Foreman didn't top 100 yards, though the TDs are obviously pretty nice.

Any overall takeaways from this one?

It was a lot like watching the week 1 game, except it was the raiders who did absolutely nothing to make Bagent's life difficult besides rush 4 (they did sack the kid twice and pressure him a couple more times, but those sacks/pressures came from their best DL Crosby and their 1st round pick Tyree Wilson). They didn't disguise coverages, and like the bears week 1, looked 2 steps slower when they were getting gashed on run plays.

Tyrique Stevenson is a lot of teams' targets these days. Why he was left alone on Davonte (LOL dropped a wide open TD pass) multiple times was baffling; it gave me Chuckles Pagano/Buster Skrine vibes--like everybody knows who is going to be thrown on except the guy calling plays for the defense.

Jaylon finally got some INTs. A lot of people are saying 'pay him' and its hard to disagree. I'm not sure Poles will pay him though.

    Brian Hoyer is still atrocious.

The bears still refuse to throw quick slants.

Bagent cant throw beyond 15 yards. That they benched him for Peter Pan on the hail mary (that was comically bad). But if you were looking for 2005 nostalgia (more like nausea), it was a lot like watching Kyle Orton on a good day with Thomas Jones helping out, except its Tyson Bagent and Donta Foreman in 2023 when offenses have evolved and the bears are figuring out the art of dinking and dunking. Wont take away from Bagent, who did what he was asked to and won the game--but sooner or later--a DC is going to come along and take away all the small, easy stuff the raiders gave them frequently. He's going to have to throw the ball down field and he hasn't shown he can do that. Heard chatter on sports radio that at first I disagreed, but slowly am coming around to it. Bagent can do 90% of things well at QB. THe small stuff, quick decisions, footwork, etc. But he's missing the 10% that sets him apart from being a bottom tier QB. Justin has the 10%, but doesn't do the 90% as well as we all think he should.
