None of those demons are playing this Monday Night. If the Browns create as much pressure as they did last week and Pickett doesn’t find the leap that everyone “talked” about this offseason, the Steelers are in trouble. The Steelers can certainly start looking more like we are used to seeing and the Browns defense could totally disappear.. My money is on what I saw week 1.
Hell, I just watched the worst movie ever made….again…. Just because that first week has me so hyped. DAMN YOU HBO for adding Draft Day to your regular rotation of movies!!
Happy Monday Lounge Houndz! It's GAME DAY Crazy Crextins MAD predictions Dawand Jones- Baptism by Fire-aka mano-a-mano TJ Watt... Jones will NOT suffer the same fate as the last brown's rookie to be forced into service by an injury to Konklin... 3 may 4 QB pressures 0 sacks and no holding penalties... Chubb finds running room here as well... 2 long TD's between tackle and guard... The Defense will still play well and stifle Pickett and Harris. Garrett gets 2-3 sacks w/ a forced turnover. The Browns secondary will match it's performance from last week. Offensively if Watson can connect with the guys getting deep instead of throwing wounded ducks (may or may not have been weather related... it's Cleveland(AFCN) the weather is always the weather learn to adapt). Once the passing game gets going, will be tough Pit does have a good defense despite being shredded by the 49-er's, the offense should be able to put up points and even pull away from teams. Would love toe see the Browns blank the Yinzers at home. Go BROWNS...
Watson played like hot shit. $50+ million a year to have a 50% completion rate doesn’t cut it. Give DTR the ball.
I don't post around here much anymore. Really don't even stop by all that often, but I wanted to stop and say how terrible it is that Chubb got hurt like that. I truly hope it ends up being far less than it appeared to be and that he makes a full recovery and continues his incredible career! I think he is the best pure RB in the NFL and to see that happen was devastating!
Thanks, Mano. It was some comfort to see every single person in Yinzer Stadium, regardless of the colors they were wearing, give Chubb a standing ovation as he was carted off the field.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Browns are hosting free agent RB Kareem Hunt for a visit. There hasn’t been much news about Hunt in 2023 as he’s waiting for the right deal. With the unfortunate injury to Nick Chubb, the Browns are looking for some running back depth. Jerome Ford looks to be the lead back as the Browns chose to keep him over Hunt this season, but with latter being the familiar face it all makes sense. Hunt last played for the Browns in 2022 where he gained 468 yards and three touchdowns.
Thats cool, imo. He didnt just show up for a visit, they worked him out, so I guess he did ok. Kinda cool that he knows the locker room, the coaches and things like that. I expect him to fit right in. This gives the Browns, what looks like, a 1, 2 punch again. Good luck guys.
I don’t like to make excuses but this guy said it well! sorry for the link, X still isn’t imbedding for some reason.
Check out what I discovered in the "improvements" section of the site near the bottom of the forums/threads list... its an easy fix and Ive tested it and it works. Any questions... fire at Will. EDIT - 'Improvements' is listed under, 'Administration'.
Sad Fact (or Factory of Sadness?) Of The Day: So far this season, the Browns' offense has given up more touchdowns (2) than the defense has (1) And to balance out the bad with some good: The Browns defense has not allowed an opponent to run a single play from the red zone. The lone TD they allowed was on a 71-yard pass, a broken coverage. Opposing QBs are completing only 47% of their passes vs. the Browns. That tops the NFL. They are allowing only 3.2 yard per rush. Opponents are 6 of 29 on third downs.
@IrishDawg42 Sorry about the loss to the Buckeyes last night. That was a hell of a game. Hope you guys win out and maybe we can do that again for the championship.
Nick Chubb knee injury: Early tests hopeful Browns RB potentially avoided ACL tear, per report The knee injury suffered by the Cleveland Browns' Nick Chubb is not considered career-ending, with initial tests revealing the running back tore only his left MCL, according to sources. Sources said that while Chubb's ACL was stretched on the play, doctors do not believe the ligament is torn. Surgery is likely to happen this week, and sources said the hope is that more damage is not found. Chubb's recovery timeline is expected to be six to eight months, sources said. "I never would bet against Nick Chubb," one source said in relation to a quick recovery and comeback for the player.
The Browns won by 24 points today (September 24th) while dedicating their play the rest of the season to…….
The Browns have allowed an NFL-low 3.2 yds/play this season, best by any NFL defense through 3 games this century. The per-play dominance has helped Cleveland force 3-and-outs on 61.5% of opp drives, also best by any defense through 3 games since 2000.
