Poles traded what was essentially the last pick of the first round for Claypool. It has never made sense. It still doesn't.

He has continued to pour his considerable draft and cap space assets into skill positions instead of the lines on either side, falling back on the "that's just where the talent is right now".

Get him the fuck out of here. Don't do the same thing you did with Pace and let him out stay his welcome and fuck you later. Get rid of him now.

I feel so bad for my kids. Our older son is on the autism spectrum, doesn't know anything about football, but really wants to cheer along with his family. I adopted him. He wasn't born into rooting for a shitty team, I brought it to him. Our baby is wearing a Bears shirt right now, running around the house smiling. In a handful of years, that smile will fade and a jaded hopelessness will set in.

They could've been happy. But instead, they got the Bears.

It doesn’t matter who the WR’s are when you’re going to run this system. It would be easy to say Fields sucks just like the rest of the bears QB’s ever but I just get the feeling they aren’t giving him a chance. So many negative plays.

 

I honestly don't even know to say about this game really.

Flus sucks, Williams sucks, Getsy sucks, Braxton Jones sucks, hell the whole oline sucks, Fields sucks.

You're right BWW, Virginia is probably pissed, if she's conscious. I wish I could be at this point. It's one game sure, but this sets the tone for the season, you got your ass handed to you by your rivals in your house on opening day, starting a new unproven QB.

So much to be sad and depressed about. But for me my hatred is most geared at Flus right now.

Remember when I told everyone here a smart team would've hired Doug Pederson? Fuck you Georgie and Fuck you Poles.

 

The Bears drop 7 and rush 4….and they can’t get home but also they somehow leave guys wide open despite having 7 guys covering.

On offense they have 6 guys blocking 4 rushers….and defenders go unblocked and get free runs at the QB.

I've already started the process on this. The last couple weeks i've been talking to my son about picking himself a team. He wanted to support the Bears like me and i told him he can do that when they're playing a game, they can be like his second team if he really wants. But he's not becoming a Bears fan, im not doing it to him.

He's actually been really considered about it and taken his time which i've found kinda funny. Only rule is no other NFC North team which he was on board with anyway. He's narrowed it down to(as he calls them) the green birdies, the seabirdies, the dolphins or the gold men. Hope he doesn't pick the Eagles, they have the shittiest fans. The Dolphins have been a bad team for ages too, tho their arrow is pointing way more up than the Bears. I could live with the Seahawks or 9ers, there's plenty of teams i dislike more than them.

 

I do remember that because i was pulling hard for him also. Actual SB winner and offensive minded with a rep for working with QB's. But no, cos we had to get the guy with a boner for LB's. This franchise in a nutshell.

 

The Florida State kid who should have been a 1st this past April but went back, Jared Verse at DE. Probably the top spec.

UCLA's Lauatu Latu looks especially tempting. 6'5 265 in college and looks the part.

They're both Sophmores, but either Ohio State DE JT Tuimoluao or Jack Sawyer.

He's preinjured, but U Washington's Braylen Trice.

DT two weeks before college started looked like a boon next spring. Now, its looking a little bare. It's a 3-4 NT from LSU named Mason Smith, and a 21 year old RS Sophmore from Miami named Leonard Taylor III, and Newton from U of Illinois. If Michael Hall from Ohio State comes out he'd be another.
