You aren't alone. I think the sweet spot in this draft is between 2.5 - 3.40-ish. So watching the late 2nd and 3rd round play out is to watch your list get decimated. Still some talent left though, especially if you can ignore positions and go truer BPA
I'll put the Chargers' draft so far up as well I guess. Falcons can do it themselves though. CHARGERS 1(21) Dalton Kincaid, TE - Utah 2(23) Devon Achane, RB - Texas A&M 3(22) Trey Palmer, WR - Nebraska 3(31) JL Skinner, S - Boise State
Yeah I was taking Tuli Tulipolto or Antonio Johnson both of them slid. Zacch Pickens is going to be a solid pro, he is on my bang the table list. LIked Herbig, he is the brother of the OG The Steelers just signed. Think of all the LB that have come out of Wisconsin, it's similar to PSU. With over 20 picks to go and Wes OTC I think I am packing it in for tonight.
I've got 5 picks before mine. I've got like 3 guys I REALLY like, maybe a 4th if I missed someone. Gonna be a wait. 5 of the last 8 picks since I picked for the Bills were on my list.
Doing it right with the Colts. Haven't actually made a list for 4.4 We'll decide when we get there. I've got a target for the Rams, but a couple more guys who will work out too if he gets sniped.
Been lucky with the Saints. Two of the three picks were down to the last name on the list, and the other pick was down to two names. Been even more lucky with the Titans. Traded from 11 to 16 and got V.V. one of the Top 4 QB prospects anyway. That started a crazy domino effect of trades to the point that the original 6 picks have become 9 players and 4 remaining picks.
You got some exceptional value on that Mykal Walker trade. And you know what you got there. Saquon too, was a pretty good add at a value price. If I had any faith in Levis I'd be crowning it possibly an all-time draft.
The funny thing with Mykal Walker was that I had tried to get WR Jared Bernhardt. Joe's brother didn't want to part with Bernhardt (undrafted rookie who missed the entire season with an injury) but was willing to get rid of Walker, so we worked with Ogundeji + Walker for ??? instead. He's quite right though in that Walker fell out of favor in the defensive scheme over the course of the year. Second round rookie Troy Andersen replaced him as the starter in midseason. I have no idea how it will go for him with Ryan Nielsen as the new DC. We'll find out in preseason, but it doesn't look so hot for him right now. But most definitely, I still see a lot of upside in him. Ditto for Ade Ogundeji, who doesn't have major pass rush numbers (duh, it's the Falcons) but is at the very least a competent run defender. The wild card of the bunch will be Jalen Mayfield. I think he still has real upside potential but that the Falcons are ruining him by keeping him at guard. He could really use a change of scenery, and if he doesn't step it up in preseason he won't make Atlanta's roster. It's just turning out to be a bad fit. It happens. That made him a perfect cheap trade opportunity for both teams. The one thing that did go haywire for the TEN draft was a bit of a run on WRs - at least the big bodied ones, which was the profile that I was looking for. The value wasn't there. It made a lot more sense to change gears to Plan B and go tight end instead.
Considering I was a big Mayfield guy, I'd have to agree. The fit seemed odd to me to begin with. The knock on him was whether he could stick outside due to some perceived stiffness. But even understanding the intentions at G, I still pictured him with more of a consistent power run team. I'd love to see him tried even at RT with a team that wants to run the ball with power. I guess we'll see. He could just be a straight bust too. Clearly, it happens.
We will be into round 4 pretty early tomorrow. @Wes otc until 10:40am. (eastern) Then I have a list for the next two teams. @EvertonBears I think that means you'll be otc by 11am
lol I've got it as 11.20am but thanks. I might be out again. Had planned to be more available than this but my mother had a surgery on thursday that didn't go great so im going back to the hospital for another couple of hours.
Sorry to hear that man. Hope things go better from here. If you’d rather leave a couple names with me feel free. I have most of the picks before you anyways.

Something that has turned out incredibly well is the way we have added five new members for this year's draft. Welcome again to all of you, and thanks for joining! It makes a huge difference. I had feared we'd struggle to get even 15 participants and would reach the point where we had to put an entire division or two on autopick mode. But with our new members and quieter input from a few others behind the scenes, we're getting input from right around two dozen different people. It has been an amazing turnout.
