Are you seeing him wait for players to get behind the defense (understanding capable arm strength) or waiting for players to come out of breaks?
I never considered this a possibility, but holy shit what would it take to get a team to completely trade out of the first round with a top 16 pick?! I think you might be able to get a desperate team to give up a second and 4th this season, along with a conditional third that could end up being a second next season.
We might even see the Raiders or Titans trade up to #3... those teams may offer a fair amount to snag a QB, something for the Colts to consider.
Waiting for them to be open when understanding speed means they’re already open. Like if you just watched the Hyatt TD reel, he’s insanely open on some of those. I’m almost wondering if he’s a bit scared to throw into coverage. That scheme could hide it about as well as any.
Are you guys doing one of those big mock draft things for members this year or are there not enough interested?
@TopDawg says he's interested in doing one this year. I did the last minute replacement for Joe/RT's draft last year but will be quite happy to step aside and let Dawg have a go at it this year. I don't know how many participants we'll be able to round up, but I'd guess we'd be able to pull it off. If you and other Bears fans can join in this year, that would be a huge help. We had zero participants from the Bears group last year.
I have more of an issue with the question than his answer. The officer point blank asking him if he was racing was a violation of his constitutional rights. It wasn't necessary at all to ask. The curve at that part of the road is deceptive. It doesn't look like much when you start into it, but you suddenly find yourself making a 35 degree turn. She took it at high speed (which the officer noted), misjudged it, hit the curb while turning and flipped the SUV. No mystery there at all.
Ok well if you guys are doing it then yeah i'll do the Bears. Could do 1 more as well if that helps. I'll mention it on the Bears board too. Cheers
I’m willing to take a couple teams. I know ny said he’d take the Steelers, which is alright by me. I’m willing to take the Panthers and another team.
Well I'm interested in participating, and I can certainly handle the Browns and any other teams that need a GM, but I've never run one of these drafts. Once they have been set up and begun, then I have have helped many times over the years with board updates, and overseeing trades, and messaging upcoming drafters to help keep the drafts moving along, and things like that....
I'm in. I'm just busy AF this year to run anything, although I will still participate and can be an emergency commish and still can updates board as I have edit powers in the draft forums mainly for that reason.
Hmmm.... sounds like the mock might be landing back in my lap again this year. I don't want to take it away from anyone else though. So if anyone else wants to run it (@RTTRUTH ? @IrishDawg42 ?) please speak up. Have no fear, @Quew777... if it does come down to me throwing something together, I won't call it the "half-assed draft" this time. Do you think you would be able to join us this year? Everyone: the main thing we need is more participants, as we've lost several of our former regulars (eg @MemphisKing10, @munoz1987, @AxeMurderer, @KilkennyDan, @YoungHawk03) over the last couple of years. We do still have enough of us around to keep the mocks going, but last year 26 teams were run by just 10 people. We really do need more participants. Recruit some friends to come join us if you can. In addition to the Bears, we also came up empty with the Ravens last year. Any Ravens fans still around? (@ravens_R_#1 ? @Kyreal ?)
If I weren't up to my ass in alligators, I would volunteer to set this up. However, currently I'm in the process of getting my affairs in order to include setting up a trust to keep my family out of probate court when I finally do kick the bucket. Besides that, I'm trying like hell to actually finish writing a book I started three years (and several re-writes) ago.
Dammm, Lyman... good luck. Please remember, only the good die young, so your going to live forever ( ). Take care my friend, nice to hear you.
Congratulations on the book, and congratulations on still being here to keep doing rewrites! If it does fall on me to run it again this year, I should be in good shape setting up a spreadsheet. I'll recruit a few others to help track it while it's running. I will also try one extra experiment this year that I think will make it a little easier for others to help maintain the sheet once the draft is underway.
