No dirty birds today. The Steelers give them a bird wash. We climb firmly out of the top five draft picks. Doesn’t mean that we will have a rememberable season, just means we will be pushed back in the draft.
Its in Atlanta and the Falcons arnt a pushover team anymore... I expect a smash-mouth football game won in the trenches. Close, hard fought, team with the ball last wins... kinda thing. Im tuning in! Good luck Steelers fans!
The Falcons have shown flashes of very good football. They've had big lapses in that department as well. Which team shows up? Maybe both versions at different times of the game. I hope Kenny continues to be careful with the ball and the running game will continue to be what it was last week. Go Steelers even though Torgo is a great poster here.
This season is one of frustration. I think we would have a better record if Trubisky was never signed. But now we are at a point where losing would really improve us next season, but losing isn’t in our blood and thoughts.
16 play drive. 7 and 1/2 minutes and just a FG. That 5 yard loss by Pickett stalled it. I'm only on sports tracker so I didn't see it. 3-0
I dont know about Edmunds, but Wallace is back out there according to Steelers Now. They checked him out after he went to the tent and said he was good to go. Good luck.
I feel like i talk too much... i appreciate people putting up with me. Besides, no kids today, football on, cold as a witches tit out, so I gotta do something.
You definitely don't talk too much, friend. I appreciate the hell out of you. I can read this site for news, rather than have to go find it myself. You make my day better. Thank you.
Oh man, too bad I didn't see this thread until just now. Good game for the Steelers. Pretty much exactly as I expected - Pickett did enough to make sure he didn't cost them the game. The rookie outplayed Mariota, which is bound to bring out more calls for Atlanta to start their own rookie (Desmond Ridder) down the stretch.
We finally get our bye this week, so it might actually happen with two weeks to ramp him up. Even if he doesn't start, I still say I want to see him play at least some snaps each week just to help with his development. But at this point I'd be fully on board with giving him a couple of starts to see if he can light a spark for the offense. I liked what I saw from Pickett. He needs experience, which he's getting now.
