It's not an opinion but an adjudicated fact that your QB is a prolific sexual predator. You not accepting that speaks volumes.

    Dammit @SAS !!!!

I asked you to play nice and be more objective with your discussions. And as much as I would like to agree with you about our QB, he has not been convicted of any crime and has not been added to that particular registry.

    I shouldn't butt in but....

    All adjudicated means is that it was stated in a judgment and Judge Sue Robinson stated in hers;

summarizing because no one wants to read the whole thing:

    "I find this sufficient circumstantial
evidence to support the NFL’s contention not only that contact occurred, but that Mr. Watson
was aware that contact probably would occur, and that Mr. Watson had a sexual purpose – not
just a therapeutic purpose – in making these arrangements with these particular therapists.27"

"I find that the NFL has produced sufficient circumstantial evidence to prove the
last prong of the test, that Mr. Watson knew such sexualized contact was unwanted."

"I, therefore, find that the NFL has carried its burden to prove, by a preponderance of the
evidence, that Mr. Watson engaged in sexual assault (as defined by the NFL) against the four
therapists identified in the Report.29 Mr. Watson violated the Policy in this regard."

"Mr. Watson’s predatory conduct cast “a negative light on the League and its
players,”39 sufficient proof that he violated this provision of the Policy."

    What @SAS said isn't wrong....

I HATE LOSING... that said, I have enjoyed watching my Browns these past several weeks in the fact that I will have a much more difficult time once he takes the field.

    @IrishDawg42

This “decision” was more along the lines of a civil suit and not a criminal trial. It was simply a means of declaring the NFL had enough evidence to carry out their policy to punish Watson. Watson’s criminal case has never moved forward past a couple of grand juries in criminal proceedings and therefore has never been found guilty of any crime.

Don’t take this as me arguing for Watson. I think he’s guilty as sin, but what any of us think doesn’t matter. Watson is literally innocent until proven guilty in a criminal trial.

Hell, OJ was innocent in a criminal court yet lost a civil suit. OJ served no time in prison for this crime, just owed a ton of money.

I am sorry. But as @IrishDawg42 covered... he was found guilty by his employer.

I cannot and will not get behind the fact a grand jury did not recommend his case be brought to trial -- a major difference than "found not guilty", mind you -- when we live in a broken society where nearly 70% of all sexual assault is never even brought to the police, and only 2% of assaults lead to convictions. Beyond our societal failings, only someone willing to suspend critical thinking and complete disbelief could look at his circumstances -- $200 million dollar athlete seeking out dozens of unlicensed masseuses on social media platforms and rendezvousing in secrecy at a hotel -- and doesn't at least think that's perversion and misuse of a position of power.

I will remain objective towards every other aspect but cannot remain neutral on the QB's circumstances. I will, however, discontinue the use of "SP4" if you'd prefer.

Still not criminally guilty. I don't like it either but it's not just semantics, it's the law. Goes to show you what having a ton of money can buy when it comes to hiring a lawyer. You and I never see the outside of a prison again.

And I thank you. Civil discourse without stirring the pot is all I ask. Too many angry people around here who used to be able to get along until this.........

Here's to brighter and friendlier days ahead  and may the Browns somehow get thru this in a way that satisfies us all.

Watson is a sexual preadator end of story. The fact he hasnt been convicted doesnt change that.

As i said many times how Browns fans handle it up to them and there really is no wrong way. If you want to stay a browns fans because you have always loved them then that is fine (but you do have to accept the fact watson is not a good person). If you choose to no longer be a browns fan because they traded for a predator that is fine too.

In case anyone's interested, we spanked the Kittens tonight.
I can't help but be happy when we beat divisional rivals, it's only the 2nd game I've been able to watch this year (the other was Pittsburgh).
Great game by the Browns as a team, but I thought I'd lose my mind as we took possesion in the 4th quarter: we know our D ranks 31 out of 32 in 4th quarter defense, yet every possession we would snap the ball with around 15 seconds on the play clock. I thought someone would catch that and let Jacoby know that he should hold off taking the snap until under 5 seconds, so we could run off another couple minutes of time, but he never did until the last possession. I just thought someone: Stephanski, Jacoby, the center, some "clock mgt" specialist would have recognized that 10 to 12 seconds per play would take away time from Cinci, who cooperatively failed to take advantage of the time we saved for them to mount a comeback.
I couldn't help but feel like this lack of looking into the time use was inexcuseable, and might well have cost us the game. Some one has to be thinking about this, especially when we are sitting on a lead. Any one possession, given 1 first down would erase almost a full minute of time if we run the clock down before hiking the ball.

I know it's a mute point now, but as the 4th quarter began with Cinci's first TD within the first minute, being clock aware was a critical element. Cinci scored again on a possession that wasn't more than 1 minute and a half, so how much time might they have needed to put up 2 more? Thankfully the D came to play tonight, but it isn't something that should be ignored. That might well have made the difference in some of our losses, if we'd simply used all the time we could when we had the ball and the lead.

A stupid rant after the team plays such a great game, but the coaches shouldn't let this lesson slip by. Time use is critical, and can certainly be game deciding. So please, for the love of God, make someone responsible for knowing how much time is left, # of possessions required, and play calling that keeps the seconds ticking off.

climbs off his soapbox, and sighs.

Browns fans, great game yesterday. I actually watched most of the game and enjoyed that ass whooping y'all put on Cincy.

There are no Bengals fans on this forum, but all off season across social media they just kept talking about how they'd win at least 5 divisional games per year, win the North for the next decade, and be the face of the AFC as the newest dynasty. Seeing that beating and knowing they've now lost to every single AFC North team has sent many into hiding and I'm loving it

It was the first game I didn't watch this year. Maybe I shouldn't watch any more games.......they seem to play better.

Good win, y'all. I didn't watch but looking at the box score yesterday feels like if KS would coach every game like he's playing against Cincinnati he'd be unstoppable. 166-109 and 5-0 lifetime (+11.4 PPG differential).

Well, the good news from this weekend is that we didn't lose, the defense didn't suck and the kicker didn't miss any FG's.
