Titans rule out Kristian Fulton, Dontrell Hilliard, Jamarco Jones The Bills rolled up 413 yards and scored 31 points in their season-opening victory over the defending Super Bowl champion Rams. The Titans already had their hands full, but they also won’t have their top cornerback. The Titans ruled out Kristian Fulton, who will miss the game with a hamstring injury. Running back Dontrell Hilliard (hamstring) and offensive lineman Jamarco Jones (elbow) also won’t play. Fulton and Hilliard didn’t practice all week, while Jones’ only practice of the week was a limited one Thursday. The Titans list rookie receiver Kyle Philips (shoulder) as questionable. He was limited again Saturday. Left tackle Taylor Lewan (knee) practiced fully Saturday and will play as will offensive guard Nate Davis (knee). Davis returned to a full practice Saturday. PFT
Packers receiver Allen Lazard should be good to go tonight against the Bears. Although the official injury report lists Lazard as questionable with an ankle injury, he is expected to play, according to ESPN. Lazard was second on the team with 513 receiving yards last season, and with the departure of Davante Adams, Lazard was expected to move into the No. 1 receiver role this year. But he missed the Week One loss to the Vikings with the ankle injury. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ passing game struggled last week, and running back AJ Dillon was the Packers’ leading receiver. Tonight they’ll expect a better passing performance, with Lazard as Rodgers’ top target. PFT
Good Morning people of L4SN... Its football Sunday, NFL style. Good luck this weekend, unless your an Eagles fan!
That game in Philly could very well be a shootout, which would bode well for Fantasy points for Cousins and Hurts. Brissett on the other hand might be too conservative as the Browns will try to pound the ball again as they did vs Carolina. Im not too sure Brissett has the tools for unloading the deep ball or the confidence. But, thats why they play the games... we will find out.
The Saints and Buccaneers will both be missing key pieces from their offenses in Sunday’s game at the Superdome. Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been ruled out with a rib injury after missing the final two days of practice this week. Quarterback Jameis Winston and running back Mark Ingram are both playing after being listed as questionable. On the Tampa side, wide receiver Chris Godwin was ruled out on Friday and left tackle Donovan Smith was officially ruled out on Sunday after being listed as doubtful with an elbow injury. Wide receiver Julio Jones is also inactive after a pregame warmup showed that his knee isn’t feeling well enough to give it a go. I'm happy to see that RB Caleb Huntley is NOT on Atlanta's inactive list. He might be making his NFL debut today along with draft pick Tyler Allgeier. I'm stoked for two reasons. The main one is that the team made what was in my view a stupid decision to go without ANY of their trio of power backs for week one. Qadree Ollison was a roster cut and ended up with Dallas (on their practice squad), Huntley was sent back to Atlanta's practice squad, and Allgeier was inactive because the team needed other players at other positions and for special teams. You can't have a lightning and thunder running attack if all of your "thunder" guys are inactive or off the roster. Going without it was a bad decision that I think came back to bite them - one good run-heavy drive in the second half would have sealed the win, and Allgeier (who was drafted EXACTLY for that reason) wasn't even on the active roster. Way to go, coach. Cordarelle Patterson is NOT a "thunder" guy. Atlanta was 28th in the NFL in average rushing yards after contact last week. They NEED Allgeier at the very least, and the injury to Damien Williams so early in the game last week shows how important it is to have that backup. Huntley is a truckload to bring down. The less important reason I'm stoked is that after last year's mocks and the real draft, Huntley became my top long term "sleeper" prospect - a guy who would need a LOT of developmental time first, but would be worth the wait. For that draft class, 2020 was their final college season and a whole lot of guys didn't get all that many competitive reps thanks to the smaller conferences slashing or canceling their schedules. Huntley only played three games, and he fell so far down the draft lists that none of us had him on our radar in the mocks even to take him as a UDFA. But once the announcement came out that Atlanta had signed him, I started looking into him and immediately decided that I would have jumped all over him as a long term prospect in our Mock GM exercise. I wouldn't have wanted to start him, but he was exactly the type of prospect that I would want to develop on the practice squad. So... even now I have doubts that he's ready for serious action quite yet, but I love that he'll be active as a likely backup for Allgeier.
