The ugly first: the injury to TJ Watt
Nothing good from the game can erase that. There’s hope that it isn’t season ending. We will find out soon enough.

    The good: that defensive performance
7 sacks, 4 ints 1 fumble recovery a pick six on the second defensive play
    Watt was great
    Highsmith 3 sacks
    Cam making plays
Minkah 14 tackles and a pick six and a blocked extra point. DPOW for sure.
    Friermuth and Gentry TE play
That one handed catch by Dionte.

The bad Mitches Bitches. He looked like a deer in the headlights. Can we please just start the Pickett era already. This game should have been a blowout but Mitch isn’t qualified to be a starting quarterback in the league.
The oline play was atrocious. Mitch can’t use that as an excuse because he had time to pass by his rolling out gave him open looks, he just couldn’t deliver the ball to save his life. I really believe if Pickett was playing we would have scored more points and Watt would have watched the backups finish off the bengals instead of getting an injury.

I’ve been a “Start Mitch” guy from the beginning. I won’t bury him for one bad performance, but even I was thinking Kenny might have been more successful. Mitch was off, plain and simple. Did not look as accurate or comfortable as he had seemed in the pre season. He will surely be the starter this weekend, but he better get it together or that crowd in Pittsburgh will turn on him quickly!

As for the rest of the team/game…the defense was ridiculous. Watt being out will obviously hurt that but boy was it fun to watch! OL is still a mess. Hopefully it gets better as they work together. There is some talent there. May have been the craziest regular season game I’ve ever seen! I’ll take 1-0 though! Haha

Some good news. They are saying Watt should be able to return by the end of October. Better than losing him all season.

The Patriots may not have their QB this week. Have to see how that goes. Defense will have to step it up again if Mitch can’t improve his play.

The ugly - Watt’s injury of course. At least it’s not season ending.

The Bad - OL run blocking woes continue, I’d like to think that if the OL could open up holes Najee wouldn’t have been injured like that. You need a Barry Sanders type runner for this OL.
That 4-1 run defense can’t happen, can’t stack the box and let the Bungels get 25+ on that play.

The good, our defense in general and our ST, TE’s and Dionte getting it done when it mattered most. A QB with mobility.

It's great to get a win when I assumed a loss. That happened last year and I think it put the season on the upswing

    The good: defense, Freiermuth,

The bad: can't run or pass because the o line is bad, particularly Moore. They'll never stretch the field because they won't have time and even if they did Trubisky is a terrible deep passer. Same crap as last year with Ben but at least he did something in his prime.

The ugly: see above. TJ Watt injury. Your turn Malik.

Normally, I see the Pat's and call it a loss but I think they can win. It's the home opener so they'll be hyped. 2-0 I hope.

The oline was pitiful, but Trubisky was just as pitiful, he had open looks to throw and didn’t even come close to the WR. The catch Johnson made in OT was a bad throw but Johnson made what might be considered the catch of the season.
