  1. Willie Head Coach Manager News & Notes Vikings

I just think it was a bit odd as Mac is clearly #1 and a newbie in the NFL as it is. I didnt think the Draft was for picking backups at #4. Its not a real bad grab... just surprised me a bit.

As for Zappe, I love the way he plays. Seen him live (TV) in a few games and he is good, period.

The Pittsburgh Steelers should go after Blewitt. They would have a QB named Pickett, a kicker named Blewitt. All they would need is a LB name Stickit. Ah... fuckit!

EDIT: Added my notes for where and when they really went and gave numbers to my rankings for easy comparison to the draft notes. 8 CBs I did not give a draftable grade got drafted, which doesn't surprise me with this draft class. 4 CBs from my board went undrafted; 1 with a 4th round grade, 1 with a 6th and 2 with a 7th. 3 of those went to the Eagles which is also unsurprising considering they have a great opportunity to make it there or at least get a long look since they need DBs. Final note, Damarion Williams barely didn't make the cut for me but I expected he'd probably be drafted because the class all around is shallow, but he went sooner than I expected.

Every once in a while I reveal my personal big board at a position so I figured I'd show my CB one. It wasn't an exact science and for the most part it's in order. Can't really hurt my fantasy drafts revealing this lol.

  4. xinik Franchise Player Manager Giants

Thanks for the call out @Torgo. Yeah I knew I was comfortable with Neal/Icky and I felt like it was a much bigger talent drop if someone grabbed Thibs before I could. I was super juiced to see the actual Giants play it the same way. Thibs and the Giants really do seem like a great match. The kid really seemed to want to be rushing the passer in Giants blue. He has a lot of post career ambitions and understands how being a star in NY can make them all easier to accomplish. Apparently Strahan is even taking him under his wing as a mentor of sorts.

There was a lot of interesting speculation coming from the Giants right before the draft that Schoen had basically decided he didn't trust the Giants scouts (seems smart TBH and he has been overturning the scouting post draft) and so they were only selecting players that he and his coaches had scouted personally. It led to a smaller pool of players to choose from and thus some perceived "overdrafts" but they reportedly have a plan for how every player selected is going to fit into the schemes. Coming off of Gettleman/Judge... this is about the best thing I could want to hear as a fan. I am really digging the Schoen/Daboll pairing and their general approach.
