Vv, great post. one of the best posted. and to be honest, this is why I needed a break from this team. And why I was off the boards. I remember a few years back when people were trashing Virginia. I defended her relentlessly. And to be clear, she loves this team and goes to every game and wants them to win. but she is soft. And she let her kids run this team like a business. And they hired a guy who does just that. Ted Phillips has been a disaster for this team. He ruined this franchise. he has taken the most elite and revered team in the history of us sports to a perennial loser. 6 playoff appearances in his what 22 years as Pres and 40 years running the organization? The problem is Virginia has been feeble and soft because she IS feeble and soft and these clowns are taking advantage for their own gain. They don’t care about the fans, the product, or the wins. They care about the bottom dollar. Fuck this team. fuck the McCaskey dickbags fuck swetty teddy and fuck people like me who keep spending money on them
I will trash her until she's dead. Look at what this team has become since she became principle owner. Georgie said they believe the McCaskeys are "uniquely qualified" to lead this franchise going forward. Fuck Virginia and her delusions of grandeur. Her team is an absolute laughingstock. Were it not for the infrastructure of the modern NFL the Bears would have failed as a business years ago. That's the only reason they still exist. She can't die soon enough as far as I'm concerned. Fire Virginia.
As for the Packers, since we take pleasure in their playoff failures, the writing is on the wall for the 2021-2022 edition of their failures. They always have one major weakness. This year it's special teams. Much like we knew Parkey was going to blow it for us in 2018, special teams will be their demise. It will be fun to watch.
Well said. I don't blame you for taking time off, at the end of last year I cancelled game pass. After the post-season presser I wasn't even going to watch the upcoming bullshit year. And then they go and pull the trade for Fields and Jenkins, and I thought, "now I have something to watch this year". Typical, typical fucking Bears. That little breadcrumb of "hey, we might suck but look what we're building towards!". The difference between this team and losers like the Lions? Not as much as you'd think. Last year I had this rant which still holds true: Accountability - this organization has no concept of accountability. They "save face" and just try to get fans to show up. 8-8 Matt Nagy years are all good because maybe he can turn the corner, but even if he doesn't meatball Bears fans will justify this shit up and down. I'm sure Nagy is a nice guy. But his faults outweigh his positives, he's well past time to be gone. This entire org is running on the fumes that Halas left us. Ever since he died and Ditka left it has been garbage after garbage with the notable exception of Lovie Smith's few appearances. Tony Dungy was on the under center podcast, and one thing he said really stuck with me. He said to build a team, you have to have first and foremost an identity. Whatever that identity is, you stick to it. And to be fair, that's what Lovie did, as stubborn as he was about it. What is the identity of this team? What the hell is Nagy's scheme?
