Bold prediction of the week - I bet Harbaugh gets Tyler Huntley playing time in some capacity in front of his hometown crowd. Look for Lamar, and Hollywood to step up a notch, and Huntley in some gadget play, wildcat, etc.
Thanks for starting the thread. I thought I did, but guess not. The Ravens need to come out strong in this one and stack wins. The last game I went to in person was the 2019 Dolphins game (what a game to be at). Would love to see a repeat performance befofe they have their mini bye. I'd rather see Huntley play the whole 4th in a Ravens win. Baltimore has to maintain their lead in the division. Pittsburgh is on a hot streak and only 1 win back, so Baltimore needs to keep getting wins now before the reach the, on paper, harder part of the schedule
First loss to Miami in awhile. This team as a whole is so flawed. Lamar couldn't go into god mode in order to win this game. The defense is flawed for reasons I just don't know. Terrible tackling. Blown coverages. Just bad. The offense starts slow every game and can't run the ball to save their lives, so they have to pass. But the o-line is fairly bad also. Just terrible play today
Totally unprepared to face this opponent. The game plan was terrible and the execution was even worse. I feel like the game plan was let Lamar go out and run around and make plays. I feel like they bought into the hype that they were supposed to roll the ballout and rack up 5 or 6 touchdowns. The second half adjustmnts (or alleged adjustments) were clearly non existent. The defense is so terrible I think mainly because they have too many untested players at key positions that they end up blowing coverages and assignments regularly. Cleary outlined when Bynes took overhis spot and put Queen in a different position so he did not hav to think and make decisions. Westry, Stephens, Queen all in spots where they do not know what they are supposed to do and it clearly showed. OLine looked absolutely lost in fact even I caught glimpses of times several guys were trying to block the same player and free runners were just jailbreaking through untouched. I don't know I have ever seen a defense (Dolphins) all out blitz with everyone so many times and the offense not make them eventually pay. No one on our offense recognized the weakness and exploited it to get them to stop. I ultimately think Brian Flores thought, "what the hell, our season is lost anyway let's see what happens when we do this...." Harbaugh is right, we were totally unprepared and Roman is the WORST at making adjustments to the game plan to identify weaknesses and strike in the second half. I think he can't believe his perfect game plan would not work from time to time and he has to do something different. He seems to be super stubborn and tries to force his square peg in a round hole.... Also, if I see one more bubble screen or WR screen into double coverage I am going to scream. Don't recall seeing us dump off to the RB more than one time last night. Frustrating but also an eye opener that I hope the team takes to heart to realize they are not that good at this point and they all need to work harder.
THE worst OL play of the year, after the beginning drive, they turned into 5 turnstiles for the rest of the game. Absolutely pathetic. The defense hasn't been at an elite level in years and we need to understand this simple fact. Outside of Marlon and Peters, there are no star quality players on defense, a bunch of solid guys but need to be focused 100 percent and hold their assignments to win, of which, they simply aren't doing. As it is, they are lucky not to be 2-7 instead of 6-3 right now.
