I haven't been able to watch much of the tournament due to work, but I did catch Michigan's first round game. I had no idea Tyrion Lannister played basketball.
Because of time limitations it was basically impossible for me to get into all 5 rosters the way that I would have liked to for this exercise. Instead, I chose to focus on the one that I had already put a lot of time into studying this year. What has kept my interest the most so far is how much their moves have mirrored some of the plan that I crafted - The Jets franchise tagged Marcus Maye, and so did I. They signed Carl Lawson, and so did I. They signed Vinnie Curry and Sheldon Rankins. I signed Romeo Okwara and drafted Christian Barmore. They signed Tevin Coleman. I signed Gus Edwards. They signed Corey Davis. I traded for Michael Gallup. The Jets signed Dan Feeney. I traded for Will Hernandez. The Jets signed Lamarcus Joyner and Justin Hardee. I signed Mike Hilton and William Jackson. They signed Jarad Davis. I drafted Micah Parsons. On the whole, I think I may have gotten better deals and better talent than what they did, but it's still kind of interesting to see the similarities in play. Now, all they have to do is trade down a few spots and roll with Sam...
^^^FTR: That rings the fun bell. I had a three name list on last Browns pick. I found out the hard way that Seth Williams was long gone. That left Jaelon Darden and Kieth Taylor, which was difficult decision that ultimately ended with Darden...Loved seeing the Senior Bowl MVP still on the board in late 6th. #Kieth
Him being gone made it easier for me to accept a trade proposal to move down from 6 (29). That trade is pending.
There's been a run on guys I have on my list. But especially for BUF, I really like the depth at the bottom of this draft. The Bills now have 4 seventh round picks. See you all tomorrow.
I will have to check him out tonight. Writing his name down. I haven’t actually seen him yet. Just need those 27 hour days to take effect
In all honesty, if anyone is truly offended by my avatar I will immediately change it. I personally think it's one of the all time greatest sports logo's, but we live in a sensitive world and I don't mean to offend anyone with my love for baseball....That said, GO TRIBE!!!
Yup, knew it. Traded down so you could take the guy I had at #3 on my list. Good thing I like 28 or so players with only 47 draft slots remaining. It's good to have 4 picks in the 7th. Good night all, it's been fun.
Keep in mind it was a Covid year (plus I suck at format)... BROWNS RECAP My goal from the get was to fix the defensive issues. I go all in on free agency, and I'm going to stop doing that because it's no fun.... FREE AGENCY My only two real targets for CLE in free agency were Lavonte David and Shaq Barrett. Was able to acquire both for about $30M, which was pretty accurate to RL based on 1 year...That said, everything else I signed was crazy. Dream come true, but still crazy..... The additions of Barrett and David would have put CLE in prime position for title run without question. DRAFT 1.26 - Azeez Ojulari EDGE - Untapped potential. Dude has barely scratched the surface of what he is capable of on the football field.... 2.27 - Baron Browning LB - Buckeye. Need I say more? 3.36- Jabril Cox LB - On Browns radar for at least 3 years...We love LSU. 3.28 Talanoa Hufanga S - (fun fact) Co-Polynesian player of the year along with Zach Wilson 3.39 Tyler Shelvin DT - Because he's scary 4.23 Deonte Brown : (another fun fact) After selecting him Browns broke the record for most combined weight on consecutive picks....Approx 735 lbs. And then we drafted some other shlepps, who knows? I think CLE is serious contender....
