At least one offer will be rescinded. (Most likely Davis) But at the moment I don’t even remember the name of the most relevant RB on the Texans roster (I released the Johnson twins). So yeah, bringing in a few reclamation projects. The peppering was also brought on a bit by the fact the first guy I bid on was suddenly worth bidding up to $4M + while several other known commodities went un-offered. Small bit of frustration rebound. So yeah, sue me!
Honestly you reminded me I had totally forgotten about Gallman... Every single year there is a guy that completely slips my mind and when someone bids on them I realize I forgot to account for something... Gallman was the guy this year lol. I loved the Wayne Train coming out of Clemson and I honestly have no idea why the Giants coaches have always hated him... He finally showed this year he can play. Giants new coach said at one point he coached Gallman hard and he responded well. So I don't know maybe he just wasn't motivated until someone was willing to ride him?
I always just hated the sentiment that he wasn’t big enough to play every down in the NFL. And my thought was always he played every down against Alabama, and who makes up half of every NFL defense...? LoL It’s possible he’s not as good as I thought he was coming out, but it’s also possible he’s just never really been used properly or given the chance. I loved him
Jaguars Bid: RB Jamaal Williams - $1,000,000 No Previous Bid WR Nelson Agholor - $1,500,000 Previous Bid - NYG
I can assure you he wasn't used properly. He was drafted under MacAdoo who wasn't a great coach but tried to at least get him on the field occasionally. He was inherited by Shurmur who seemed to want nothing to do with him. I never thought Gallman was "special" but I always thought he could be a workhorse that can get you 1k yards if you feed him. We finally saw him used properly in Garrett's scheme and he averaged 4.6 YPC... #2 overall pick Saquan Barkley averages 4.7 his entire career... He gets what's blocked and he isn't really a threat as a receiver, but he runs with power and falls forward. There is definitely a place in the NFL for guys like that
