History says Kansas City’s Week 12 win over Tampa Bay won’t mean much on Sunday Yes, the Chiefs beat the Buccaneers in Week 12, in Tampa. On the surface, that gives Kansas City the edge in the rematch on Sunday. History tells a different story. Via the Washington Post, Super Bowl LV entails the 14th rematch of a regular-season meeting. The team that won the regular-season game has a losing record in round two. The 6-7 record by teams that won the first game includes an 0-4 record by teams from the AFC. Of the 13 times it has happened, the last three have involved Tom Brady. In 2001, the Rams beat the Patriots during the regular season. In Super Bowl XXXVI, the Patriots won the rematch. Six years later, the Giants stunned New England after an exciting Week 17 contest that cemented the Patriots’ perfect season. Four years after that, the Patriots lost to the Giants by four points in the regular season — and then lost against to the Giants by four points in the playoffs. So Brady is 0-1 when his team won in the regular season, and 1-1 when his team lost in the regular season. What does any of it mean? Not much. And that’s the point: The fact that the Chiefs and Buccaneers played in Week 12 and that the Chiefs won the game means not much at all on Sunday, when they play again. NBC/PFT
Will........ I'm predicting a Barn Burner. KC 27 TB 24 These are 2 good Defense's . It sucks we are in a Pandemic and can't go too a Super Bowl Party.....But everyone enjoy yourself tomorrow.
Im kinda leaning towards a ton of points via the passing game from both teams as their defenses can shut down the run. Im leaning a close one with KC on top, but more like, 42-38.
Over under is at 56 right now it opend at 57.5 the fact it moved lower means most of the money is going on the under.
Oh, how the times have changed. Here's a shot of Len Dawson on the sideline of Super Bowl I having a smoke and a Fresca (in a glass bottle).
And even if your team didn't get to todays game, look at the positive side. We got the whole season in !!! At least the NFL got that one right.
I remember watching Fred Bilikinoff? spelling, smoking during the SB. But it was considered rude not to allow people to smoke in your house when I was a kid.
The Buccaneers just beatdown the Chiefs in the SB Mike Remmers and the KC O-line had a bad day even in defeat Patrick Mahomes is a really good qb IMO
Defense still wins championships. Power runs and play action still win games. The fundamentals of football will never change.
Tampa took advatantage of the extra opertunities the chiefs handed them thats for sure. You cannot shoot yourself in the foot over and over vs a good team and expect to win. They had several penalties that just killed them and a few drives they were done in by dropped balls. Kudos to tom and the bucs for cashing in when they were given second chances. Defensively they took away the chiefs best weapons and kept Mahomes under pressure all night (2 parts scheme 1 part shuffled line and maybe the toe?). Not a very entertaining game and half time was worse (IMHO). Btw was that the afc pro bowl team for the bucs offense?
What was with all of the flags I mean there were a lot, it's the SB let the players play too much homecooking
