Who knows right now? I’m going to wait for my pickm’s this week till teams announce what players aren’t playing. The last week of the season is always a bitch to pick because of teams deciding to rest starters the last week. We still need to see if your WRs are ok before this game.
Yes, but they need multiple negatives to return. There is a 48 hour incubation period before the positives might start to show up. That's why they force them to wait 4 days, to be safe.
Here's my personal experience with this . . . I have a pre-existing condition (COPD) which makes me - should I contract Covid - extremely vulnerable. As such; Since March I have ventured out of the house (maybe) 10 times., When I did leave the house, I always wore a mask and maintained social distancing mandates. Whenever possible, I would order on-line with curb side pickup or home delivery (100% of my Christmas shopping was done 0n-line). My wife took care of foraging for groceries. My wife and I check our temperatures every day. Not once have I exceeded 98.0 degrees. Visitors to our home were limited to immediate family. And every one of them (for various reasons) tested negative multiple times prior to coming over. And yet, when I made an appointment with my doctor because of a COPD issue I was having, I was tested (in the parking lot) before they would even talk to me. Guess what? I tested positive. The nasal swab test I received (the same test used by the NFL) is notorious for producing false test results - positive and negative. Since then, I have been contacted multiple times by the local health department inquiring about my daily activities but not once asking how I felt. If I really did contract Covid-19, I wouldn't be here typing this. I would be begging my family to pull the plug on my respirator. IMHO, the whole testing and subsequent contact tracing is a sham. Especially when applied to 20 something year old professional athletes.
Per, NBC... The Browns should be in better shape at the wide receiver position for their Week 17 game against the Steelers. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said on Monday that Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and KhaDarel Hodge will be able to return to the team on Thursday as long as they continue to test negative for COVID-19. All four players were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday as high-risk close contacts of someone who tested positive. “We absolutely have to learn from this,” Stefanski said, via Zac Jackson of TheAthletic.com. The Browns signed wide receiver Alexander Hollins off of Minnesota’s practice squad on Monday. Marvin Hall, Ja’Marcus Bradley, and Derrick Willies were the team’s wideouts for Sunday’s loss to the Jets. Left tackle Jedrick Wills and right guard Wyatt Teller were also out on Sunday. Wills was sick and Teller has an injured ankle, but there wasn’t much of an update on either player on Monday.
FACT: In the last 3 weeks of NFL football (not including Browns games), there were 14 games that would have directly helped the Cleveland Browns, and 13 of them went against. In fact, the ONLY game that went Cleveland's way was the Colts losing to Pitt, a game all Browns fans wanted to see go the other way...It's pretty freaking unbelievable how unlucky this team is in general, and then you throw in Covid fiasco....lol! What can ya do? Too bad we aren't one of the NFL's darlings.... They moved the game 3 times when this shit happened to the beloved Ravens.... And please, I don't want to hear about the Broncos. They were accused of being reckless and stupid. Not even the same at all. Browns got f'd beyond belief. Only one player tested positive, yet they ruled out a third of our starting roster including all WR's..
I was thinking to myself, just what do the Browns have to do to make the Playoffs? This is so surreal. The NFL ought to embrace the Browns and their situation, but they threw the book at youz guyz. They really had to (throw the book), i think, but its just amazing what the Browns and their fans have to deal with. Life aint easy... neither is the road for Cleveland.
If the Steelers had lost you guys would have been screwed. I was looking at the scores when the Steelers were down 24-7 and thinking dam the Browns are going to get beat by the Jets, it was 20-3 Jets at the time, and we’re going to back into the division title and have to wonder if there’s even a snowballs chance in hell that we could win a playoff game. Now I am just like wanting to see if they have any more of what they put on the colts.
If this was a late game and the Bills lost to Miami,I could see the Steelers mulling over the 2 seed and various playoff matchups. As it is, the game may hold no value to the Steelers. They may rest or not. You'll pretty much see the same WRs and all of their pathetic RBs. But the defense will be a bit more vulnerable. Browns need it so much more. If they lose, they are, most likely, done for the year. That desperation has got to motivate them.
Hard to take much from the Jets game, other than Baker needs to practice better ball security. Really as a Browns fan, what could be better than facing our #1 nemesis with the playoffs on the line? Well, yeah, having the division on the line would have been better, but it's Put Up or Shut Up time. I believe the Browns are the better team, but there's a lot of baggage with Pittsburgh to overcome. One thing I am absolutely sure of: this one won't be decided early. Both teams have shown the ability to come back. This will be a 60 minute battle. In my mind, I see the Browns vanquishing the demon and earning their ticket to the playoffs. Are you listening God?
In my mind, I see the Browns vanquishing the demon and earning their ticket to the playoffs. Are you listening God? With that running game and so much to play for, they should win. They threw too much vs the Jets. They've gotta pound it. If it's 3rd and long too often, Mayfield will most likely struggle.
Well get ready to hear about the last time Rudolph invaded Cleveland, non stop until kickoff. Fuel for the fire! #95
I'd rather face Ben. No excuses. I was frankly not expecting this. I thought with the poor play over the last half a dozen games, they'd make them all play, just to keep them sharp. I do expect they will play pretty straight, knowing they could play the Browns again a week later. I think Tomlin is shrewd to let this one be what it is: the least important game of the 2 weeks. I certainly hope we make him pay for it.
