Just as we have in each of the last 4 weeks, let's go 1-0 this week. The message to the doubters was delivered in emphatic fashion yesterday in Nashville. The Browns are for real and they absolutely should be taken seriously moving forward. I'm sure Baltimore took notice, and Harbaugh realizes that this is a much different Browns team then the one they shellacked in the season opener. I don't expect us to catch them off guard at all. It's two teams that don't like each other, and that'll likely show on the field. This is certainly setting up to be a huge MNF game next week in Cleveland. Undoubtedly one of the biggest games in the history of First Energy Stadium. I can't wait!
Must win for the Ravens... they will bring their 'A' game. Browns are clicking offensively at the moment and there is no better moment than right now. Question to Cleveland fans... are you concerned about the defense? Maybe keep control of the ball offensively which keeps Baltimore off the field will be key (time of possession). Might be another shootout in favor of Cleveland. I like the Browns. Good luck!
It's a work in progress. A big play defense. They make big plays and they give up big plays, and it's been that way all season. It would be nice if the Browns could ever get the secondary healthy, but that just hasn't happened. That unit actually played a lot better yesterday than that score would seem to indicate. Hopefully we get Denzel Ward back soon, because he is a difference maker.
In the Tennessee game they did enough to win and thats what counts... they shut down, Derrick Henry and not too many have had success in doing so.
Browns. Only two teams playing better football right now in the NFL and neither are the Baltimore Ravens.
Browns. Only two teams playing better football right now in the NFL and neither are the Baltimore Ravens. Chiefs and the Saints .........watch out for the Ravens SAS.....if they win tonight they are 2 games behind the Browns and Baltimore has a pretty favorable schedule .....the Browns next week is the only winning team they will face in December. I hope the Browns win this game....But I think it's going to be a very good Football game.
Right you are, on all accounts, sir. I don't want to take anything for granted - especially hearing that we just placed Wyatt Teller on the Covid-IR list. Dude is an impact on the game and the team plays differently with him in there.
yeah...but.. THEY just placed Dez Bryant on the COVID list... so... We’re even? Tretter would surely be missed. They will need that running game to keep up with Baltimore. Good chance they won’t have to. He was only tagged as a close contact through someone away from the team, so he has a better than average chance to be cleared before Monday nights game.
I'm wondering what Stefanski has up his sleeve this week. I worry about Baker under pressure, until he proves he can do it. I'd like to see more screens run to help negate their pass rush. Does anyone else sense that Hunt isn't 100%? Please God, make Ward healthy. We need him. I feel like Takitaki could be a huge help in containing Lamar I believe we are the better O, but they are the better D Expecting a battle, with the game in the balance late.
I think the key with the Ravens - every time - is to jump out to a lead. The Browns need to be aggressive as they were with Tennessee, as both teams are built similarly. Great running games with suspect quarterback play. If they can force it into a situation where Lamar has to throw to beat them, they can win -- even with our sorry secondary. Jackson is 6-6 in his career when he is asked to drop back 30+ times in a game. Compared to 20-1 sub-30 drop backs.
Great... now you're going to have the incessant Ravens flock come over here and harass you in ALL CAPS for suggesting that.
Also, Lamar holds the ball like a loaf of bread and the defense should be trying to swat it out of his hand. He never protects the ball.
Lamar has speed and moves that make defensive players cautious when trying to tackle him. The "loaf of bread" style of carrying the ball may indeed be an oppty. I agree: getting the lead is critical. Psychologically it makes Balt throw, and that just is not their strength. On the flip side defending the pass isn't ours, so part of me would prefer they run it. I believe our capacity to score in multiple ways gives us the advantage in points available. The Browns O needs to sustain drives and kill clock, but also pass efficeintly and effectively, to keep the box open. I'm rambling. Sorry. Just very anxious about this one. It's our oppty to take control, or to return to the same old Browns in the eyes of the NFL papparazzi.
