Browns can run and the Jags can't stop it. Baker will throw 22 passes or less and the Browns win big.
Jags are 12-5 vs Browns lifetime... Seemingly this should be in our control, but these guys just went toe to toe with Green Bay...... One game at a time.....Let's go 1-0 this week
Browns’ Denzel Ward will miss several weeks with his calf strain, possibly 3 or 4 https://www.cleveland.com/browns/20...t-least-a-few-weeks-with-his-calf-strain.html
The Jaguars are turning to their third starting quarterback of the season. Mike Glennon will start for the Jaguars on Sunday against the Browns on Sunday, coach Doug Marrone announced today. Marrone said that he appreciated the work Jake Luton has done as the starter the last three weeks, but feels it’s time to try to turn things around after the Jaguars lost all three games. Marrone also said Gardner Minshew‘s thumb injury is healing and he may be available as Glennon’s backup, but Marrone wants Minshew to have a full week of practice before his next start. So that means Glennon, who hasn’t played at all this year and last started in 2017 for the Bears, will get the call. NBC
This Covid thing is looking like it will be affecting all teams, as the winter settles in, especially those in the north. Clearly the Browns are not immune. The injury to Ward hurts, and I'm glad we're not playing Pitt without him. I don't expect the Jags to be a problem, but if the team is thinking that way, they could be. If we take care of business, we put a pretty strong claim to a playoff spot. Gotta take care of business now and not lose any of the games we should win (Giants / Jets). If we do that we may need but 1 other win to grab our spot in the January sun. Go Browns
Conventional wisdom says the Browns should run all day on the Jags, however with 4 of their top 5 CB's OUT, it could be a sneaky good day for Baker Mayfield.
I'm looking for the Browns to spring some big plays early off play action. Build the lead from the jump, and then grind it out on them with Chubb and Hunt.
Ironically, as the Browns prepare for their game in Jacksonville, the weather is perfect for football in Cleveland.
Doug Marrone is an idiot. Why go for 2 when you are up by 2. It does nothing but makes you chase points later. Good win for the Browns. Who gives a crap if it's by two or two TDs.
