Sheer fucking incompetence...ARob is on record multiple times saying he wants to stay here for life and also that Pace/the front office hasn't tried to talk with him about an extension. He puts the onus on Pace.

Ryan Pace had the fantastic leadership to say before week 1 that there was no deadline, and "we know how important Allen Robinson is to us."

Why can't this franchise function like a normal one for five fucking minutes?

Also a shitload of rumors are now starting to swirl about Robert Quinn. An espen1000 AM sports jockey said this morning to "not be shocked" if Quinn doesn't play a down this year. Social media seems to believe he's got Covid.

If Quinn doesn't suit up......Pace needs to be shit canned.

    Someone fucking call Clay Matthews.

What? Even if he did have Covid, why would that keep him out all year.

Ryan Pace should've been fired at the end of last year, at least. This shouldn't even be another nail in the coffin, it should be the loader full of dirt dumped on top of his coffin.

Allen Robinson is, BY FAR, the most talented player on our offense. He's the ONLY reason Mitch is made to look competent out there. Ryan Pace has always proven that the job is too big for him. We see it again, here...

Edit: ARob's posts on Twitter have increasingly indicated a split with the team, too. He hasn't named the team, attacked them, etc., but it's been pretty obvious. I started noticing it at least a month ago, and it's only gotten worse. So this isn't something out of the blue or entirely unrelated.

    Miller is helping a lot.

Mack had 6 QB pressures on Sunday....2nd only to Joey Bosa around the league.

Imagine what he would have done with a competent pass rusher on the opposite side.

Tarik Cohen and some other players are now actively posting on social media and saying extend ARob.

Even by boner control's standards of bone-headed fucktard dumb-c-ntery, this takes the absolute biscuit. One of the very few FA signings Pace has actually got right and the ONLY guy on your entire O that would walk into any other starting Offense in the league, and he's actually well on his way to fucking it up.

This shouldn't even have been settled in the offseason, it should've been done during last season when you could've spread the money out over an extra year and made it even easier on yourself. Its not like we didn't already know everything we needed to about ARob last season.

Have a friggin word with yourself Pace you total fucking brain donor.

He also had 0 sacks and 0 QB hits. Bosa had a sack and 3 QB hits.

For over a million bucks a game its not unreasonable to expect Mack to actually put his hands on a QB now and then.

Of course Pace hasn't extended A Rob, because he's a great WR and Pace doesn't know what that looks like. This is the guy who took Kevin White #7 overall, lest we forget.

Pace infuriates me. Trading away picks like giving away candy on halloween, not extending A Rob when it is *clearly* the right thing to do, Kevin White, Shaheen, Trubisky and Glennon, only has ever drafted one QB.

Yet Johnson and Kmet might be good pick ups this year, Montgomery is solid, the Mack trade. Not everything he's done is garbage.

He asked to be traded per Brad Biggs.

    Fuck you, Ryan Pace.

Do you think maybe Pace could get a 4th rounder for him? If so, do you think Pace could turn that 4th rounder into two 6th rounders in 2022? :wall:

  17. blang84 Legend Bears

Actually what am I saying, Pace always trades up.

Heh. That'd be the best case scenario.

I can totally see what happened to Jordan Howard happen to Arob.

This makes my head spin. Money's tight after this year (walk into the offseason with 8-9 mil in cap space/but could cut Foles to add 10 mil to that), and after next year; its time to pay up or not to Roquan and Miller. They have a ton of cap going into 2022 (98-102 mil). This shouldn't be fucking complicated in terms of contract/guaranteed money structuring.

The alternative is ARob just wants out. That seems improbable when you hear him in front of microphones. But if there truly is this 'divide' between both camps, reality will be that he's not going to want to stay...

Robinson is that rare thing for his position, a non-diva. One reason he's one of my fav players. Point is he's not one of those guys endlessly bitching about money in the press. He didn't sign a $70mil contract and immediately start crying like a baby asking for a trade cos he didnt see the ball enough like Diggs.

If he's asking for a trade its cos he gen feels the team has let him down. It's not rah rah, its personal. Hard to come back from that, hard to see it ending well.

The Bears do hold a lot of leverage here. He's under contract this year and there's the tag next year, which at $18mil has to be less than ARob is asking for. But its a surefire way to turn things ugly, it does you no help in the locker room and i hate seeing it to a player like this. He deserves way better. Dude caught 98balls from Mitch Trubisky in a season FFS. That should be impossible.
