PAIN! And the winning fanbase predicting a deep playoff run while the losing fanbase talks about how the sky is falling
Who knows what to expect from the teams in the NFL The training schedules I saw from a few teams seemed very light on actual practice time. I believe that we are going to see some extremely sloppy play for the first month of the season.
Another thing to take into account is the officiating... these guys have no game experience outside of a virtual program in the off-season, which im speculating wasnt much. Could be sloppy and heavily flagged also. Confusion reigns... possibly. Lots of questions and curiosity. Hell of a game and matchup, though.
I personally don't know what to expect. OFFENSIVELY I'm obviously hoping the investment in the O-line pays dividends in the running game - and - in pass protection. I'm looking forward to see what Stefanski dials up with the Tight Ends that have been accumulated. I'm hoping Baker Mayfield turned the corner between the ears. DEFENSIVELY I have some concerns about the LB Corp. Hopefully the D-Line plays with increased gap discipline to minimize my perceived deficiencies with the LBers. Disappointed with the loss of Delpit. Was looking forward to see how he performs at the NFL level. We need the CB's to just stay healthy.
I think both teams will run the ball very effectively. 6++YPC average on both teams. The edge will be whoever can move the ball better through the air. Our very solid TE room will be key. The winner will be the least turnover prone.
I expect Baker to get his 300+ passing yards, that's apparently been a definite in this matchup, but if the Ravens give up 6ypc after this off season focus on DL and LB, I'll be highly disappointed, win or lose
The DL is certainly the strength. Your corners are very very good. Your linebackers are good, your safeties are a little suspect. I see the run game taking advantage, I see the TEs from both teams having big games against questionable safety groups. This will draw the LBs back and open up big things in the running game for both teams. Play action should be sexy with a young LB and young guy a FS. Just hoping for good football. The game starts at 2am Monday my time, so it’s gotta be worth getting up for
troll so hard. at least its not in the reasonable expectations thread. and come on Browns fans, not a single reply or mention of Odell loving Browntown?
Total class move, BTW, of the Browns’ secondary to spread awareness of CDC recommendations by maintaining six feet of distance between themselves and the Baltimore receivers.
Congrats to Baltimore fans on the W. For Cleveland, now it’s time for the quick turn-around to Cincinnati.
How many years in a row, after watching the first game, do I have to feel like Charlie Brown after Halloween? Same feeling this year about this team's chances....
