2020 DRAFT VALUE CHALLENGE

Actually Joe as I score these I'm thinking of a way that would make scoring it a ton easier. Doing the math isn't the hard part. Finding where each guy was actually drafted without having to wait for bulky sites to load pages is actually the hard part.

If while the draft was taking place you noted every defensive player (in alphabetical order) and their draft spot (4.3 for example) and I noted every offensive player (likewise, alphabetical), that would cut the scoring time probably in less than half.

But the reality is during the draft we get caught enjoying the moment, enjoying some brews, and just don't have the time to do that. But that would be an elegant solution. In that scenario the scoring could stay the same.

I know I had some good picks but I also had some awful ones.

 

Me too. My guess is Paddy will finish third, or there’s an outside chance for Rico also. I forgot to mention him earlier, but he had some decent pics also.

The interesting thing is Shane actually took more negative score pics than TD, but he hit four or five huge Fallers like two rounds plus, as well as being I think the only guy to hit drafted correct dead on outside of the first round, which is 50 big ones

 

I really enjoy this contest. Shane had some really good calls, and he deserves the Win...Nice job.

I just didn't have enough big scores to keep up...FWIW, I do think getting a "completely ignored" player drafted is a bit undervalued in this contest. That's definitely not an easy task....Having said that, even if it was worth 50 points a piece, I still couldn't have caught Shane. Another "runner-up" ballot in the DVC. lol! Familiar stomping grounds for me, only difference is I'm usually looking up at Quew.

 

I took some risks for sure! Glad a few worked out. It is a really fun contest and a very different way to approach the draft. I had a ton of fun trying to analyze the mock and do it. Thanks for running it despite the time it takes!
