Alright, I’m on record saying I only put Isaiah Wilson as a riser because I kept hearing rumors. That said, from watching his tape myself I have no idea how this guy is a first round pick. I’ve been right about quite a few tackles in the past for a specific reason, when I can tell they are too slow for NFL speed. And this guy seems like that’s going to be an issue to me. I’m calling bust on this one. I think his ceiling is a top 16 or 18 right tackle specifically
If that's one thing that's been painfully obvious, it's that not one of these teams or players is actually following the guidelines. Whether it's it's agents, family and friends, or employees, everyone's house has been stuffed with someone that doesn't live there. It's been pissing me off, every time.
I don't see him strictly as a tackle. In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he followed a career arc that saw him as a utility lineman early on until he clicks into a spot. Not a day one starter but likely a long term player in the league that will get multiple opportunities to succeed.
Confirmed.... the previous record was 12, set by the SEC in 2013 and tied in 2017 by... ... yep, the SEC. So now the conference has topped its own record.
I'm actually pretty comfortable with that pick. He's my number 7 but with a score that would roughly relate to a high second round pick. For the Dolphins, he ends up playing with confirmed starters so he has the opportunity to improve his game before becoming a full time starter. It's a good situation for a player with a high ceiling that needs some refinement.
