So exactly 32 with a first round grade? What are the other cutoffs?

  3. Campbell Administrator Manager Commissioner

I'm not sure that I ever had exactly 32 in the first before. I believe it averages a couple more (around 34-35).

The other cutoffs run at or near the 650, 600, 550 and then are extremely muddled, dependent upon how many draft eligible players I end up with.

They're all proximate equivalents that I use as a simple standard just to organize with.

So big on 2nd and 3rd rounders.
    32 1st
    40 2nd
    47 3rd
    32 4th (maybe say 33 since it's one guy at 549 before a drop).

If you use those numbers as hard cutoffs that’s what you get.

But once you start getting closer to the bottom of the third it becomes more of a comfort game.

There are going to be several players that fall into areas where I’m comfortable with them going in the bottom of the third to the upper half of the 4th, or the middle of the 4th to the top of the 5th, and so on.

Tim, got a question for ya. (or anyone who wants to chime in)

In your opinion, which class this year is the most talented or has the highest draft capital potential? I get confused when trying to break them down, but im curious like that little monkey, George.

When I say QB, I sometimes think, well 1 0r 2 are really legit and a couple more may be overrated, so then I lean towards RB's, which really is loaded. The trenches, especially on the offensive side is loaded also. So, if you had to pick just 1 or 2 areas, what group do you see as the best talent wise? The QB's, RB's, WR's or OL's etc, etc...

I believe WR and CB are the strongest while TE is clearly the weakest.

Tim, based on your board I'll take it. I'm assuming this is how they roughly correspond to.

    33 - Jalen Raegor (late 1st-early 2nd)
    53 - K'Von Wallace (mid 2nd)
    73 - Prince Tega Wanogho (late 2nd/early 3rd)
    82 - Davion Taylor (mid 3rd)
    113 - John Hightower (late 3rd)
    115 - Jalen Hurts (late 3rd)
    132 - Jack Driscoll (mid 4th)
    137 - Shaun Bradley (mid-late 4th)
    154 - Quez Watkins (late 4th-early 5th)
NR - Casey Toohill (Late 7th-UDFA)

Also getting Michael Warren who is probably an early-mid 4th on there doesn't hurt. Williams a 6th? IDK

It needs context but based off of what you did here I'll put together some numbers for the draft grades and see what happens.

Taking Jalen Hurts in the second is not something that I would have done, but I won't bash a team for doing it.

Like a guy like Warren getting a score that obviously is going to be higher here than anywhere else (one reason being I don't re-rank for expected actual draft slotting) sliding into a UDFA doesn't bother me. If a team took him in the 4th or later it's a good call IMO.

Another example would be K'Von. He's going to be higher here than most places because I moved him from his presumed position to one that I think he can find more success with long term.

So basically, I do think the Eagles got good value for their picks but where they took them (what order/pick/round) doesn't really mean as much to me.
