They're coming up with drive-thru testing here, they already have it in England and Korea. A medical health professional meets you at your car all decked in the protective gear. They swab your nasal passage and have results ready within two days.
The state of Ohio is sending K-12 students on Spring Break for 3 weeks starting after tomorrow. They will re-evaluate after that time. My wife works for the power company here in Columbus and they're doing a trial "work from home" on Friday and Monday and may keep them at home until further notice.
It's sad that when hospitals get overrun by an unexpected pandemic. The other everyday medical emergencies still exist and have to be dealt with.
Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert mocked the risks of spreading the novel coronavirus at a news conference, just days before his positive COVID-19 diagnosis prompted the NBA to suspend its entire season. He jokingly touched the microphones of all the reporters before giving interviews. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^IDIOT ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
From the press conference here in Ohio yesterday: This just points out the complete and utter failure by this administration to do anything given the fact that the U.S. had a good 3-4 weeks once the virus started in China and was deemed a problem. The fact there are only 1300+ reported cases in the entire U.S. and my own state estimates there are at least 100,000 within its borders.........just assuming Ohio is just like all 50 states (which it is not), it adds up to at least 5,000,000 people already having been infected and I'm guessing that's on the low end by a long shot. Complete failure to act. Cutting the CDC budget by 80% doesn't look like such a smart move anymore or reducing the U.S.'s donated funds to the WHO from over $30M to $12M. Mike Pence and his virus council need to "pray this away" a bit harder.
Remember when Trump said its gonna drop from 15 to zero cases real soon? And everyone will have the perfect tests? Good times.
Our schools are going on spring break this week. No word on future closures. The local hospital (five minutes away) is now reporting confirmed cases.
You're drunk again aren't you Bww? I'm closing my Yoga school down for the next 2-3 weeks. I've got clients who are returning from the southern states and I don't want to be anywhere near them at this point. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I think I legally stay drunk. So yes. Weak. I've been licking my fingers after opening up door knobs in public. I'm putting my theory that I'm immune to all illness to the ultimate test. My wife has quarantined herself.....not because she's paranoid but because with all the cancer treatment and stuff she's been through the past few years her immune system isn't the best. We haven't slept in the same bed in a week. So....you know....my hands are kinda sore.
Stunning news Brazils President Bolisnaro has tested positive, he recently spent time with the one who hasn't been tested yet. He had dinner at Mar-a-lago on Saturday.

Just saw on the news that only South Korea and Iran have had a faster spread of the virus than the U.S.which is along the same rate as Italy has experienced.
