I knew the Packers were in for an ass reaming of this magnitude. Unfortunately, it came later in the playoffs than I originally foresaw. The best part is how their entire team completely quit in the second quarter. Gonna savor every last minute of this game.

Chiefs vs 49ers will be a great Super Bowl.

Loved it. Old school football where the 49ers won the trenches on both sides of the ball. Erin was pressured early, often, and random and he was clearly uncomfortable. I love when that smug mf gets put on his ass.

I also love how Green Bay wasted his prime with inadequate teams the. Finally got the best group of talent and now old man Erin can’t make the stupid, gut wrenching throws.

So the bears signed this undrafted kid Raheem Mostert in 2016 and he appeared in 2 games, but John Fox had to have him some Jeremy Langford, Joique Bell and Kadeem Carey behind Jordan Howard?

Anybody else feeling nauseated this Monday morning?

I’m fine with either team winning. I love watching Pat Mahomes and Chris Jones work. Also love San Fran’s stout defense, cheering for Robbie’s Gould, and the ‘I told you so’ moment of wanting Pace to draft a TE from Iowa in the later rounds of 2017 named George Kittle. Instead, Pace got the steal of the 2nd round from Ashland College.

Nah. Mostert will be a one-hit wonder. Yesterday for the Packers was among the worst defensive efforts I've seen from a team in a long while, probably going back to our own humiliation against GB on SNF in 2014.

Mostert had something like 160+ yards rushing BEFORE contact! That's unfathomable and completely boils down to lack of effort by the defense. Any RB in the league would have had an equal or better game.

I'm cheering for the Chiefs. Always had a lot of respect for their fans. Mahomes is awesome, it's impossible not to like him.

The Niners are good but there's something I don't like about Jimmy G. He hasn't proven anything. Seems like he's had everything handed to him with the contract, solid team around him, great play calling, getting to learn under Belichik/Brady.

I think this is going to be a huge game for Jimmy G. I just don’t see the 49ers able to rely on the run like they have. Mahomes puts up big points in a hurry. Jimmy is going to have to make plays. If he doesn’t and they lose. How good he really is will hang over him the whole off season.

I enjoyed every minute of that game. The scoreline flattered the ass out of the Packers too, just like in week12. This was straight up domination. Ownage of the highest order. When you run the ball down a team's throat like that you take their souls. That Defense just didn't want any part of it. And I loved it.

It does bring up one Bears related issue tho. The Packers seemed to spend a lot of time trying to stop the run while over-respecting the pass. Lot of dime looks exactly like we saw against them in week 15. Of course the response to that should be to run the ball right at them and the 9ers put on a clinic for that with guys nailing their blocking assignments all over the place. But it puts into sharp focus that against the same soft ass D, showing the same looks, the Bears couldn't even get 70 fucking yards from their RBs in week15! This Bears O-Line is total abomination and pretty much every one of them makes me sick to my stomach.

And since I find myself lobbing rocks(no shock there), Ryan Pace and John Lynch were 1 draft slot apart in 2017. And Pace had already had 2 years head start to lay a foundation. 3 years later and Lynch has his team in the SB. Pace meanwhile was a 4th & 9 conversion away from a losing record this season and faces an offseason with no draft picks, little CAP room and an arrow pointing firmly down. Chalk it up to just another shitty hire from an ever shitty ownership.

As for the SB, I got used to my team having no part of it long ago so I just enjoy the game. And ive gotta say, im really looking forward to this one. I think its a great matchup with two pretty likeable teams. Whoever wins will be a good story. I'm kinda leaning towards the 9ers cos I love their kinda throwback Defense and run the ball approach. But if the Chiefs win it'll be all good.

Amazing that they haven't made the SB in 50years. Between Reid, Schottenheimer, and even Vermeil I think, the Chiefs have wasted a HELL of a lot of great regular seasons over the years. Until now.

I felt him going into the Superdome and putting in the performance he was did pretty impressive tbh.

He can make plays. May not be top10 but he's more than enough. Only throwing 8times wasn't his choice. All game flow.

Lynch has done a very good job. Getting his team to a Super Bowl in his third season is quite the accomplishment. BUT, this Super Bowl is an important one for Lynch’s legacy. If the Chiefs have their way with the 49ers it will be by the QB that he too passes up on in favor of Jimmy G. A storyline that I am sure will come up at some point.

Agreed, if I can't watch the Bears win, the next best thing is watching the Packers lose. And not just lose, get completely embarrassed. A Packers friend of mine tried telling me it was because the 49ers realized the Packers run defense was shit and game planned. While this is true, I had to point out to him how incredibly shitty the Packers offense looked in the entire first half. That has NOTHING to do with the Packers run defense and everything to do with the 49ers absolutely owning the line of scrimmage.

Had the Packers miraculously won that game, they would have been smoked by the Chiefs, who they were fortunate enough to play when Mahomes was OUT. 32nd ranked SoS, softest 13-3 team I've ever seen.

As it stands, this is going to be a great game, and without a preference I'm going to enjoy watching. 1.5 points for the Chiefs is all, super tight spread Mahomes is a likable guy and it does hurt all the more that the Bears passed on him. I think the Chiefs have the edge as they are loaded with offensive talent, but you can't discount the 49ers pass rush + their run game and Jimmy G. It's also killer that if Jimmy G loses, the 49ers ALSO could have had Mahomes instead, because they traded DOWN with us to get Mitch. The 49ers are the more well rounded team, but then on the other side you have Reid? Good stuff.

Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong but them beating the Seahawks means the Packers lost a bit more draft position as well. 3rd to last place in every round. They are really still riding the Rodgers train.

We should do a Superbowl thread and have odds and evens and stuff. That would be really enjoyable. Unless all of you crazy bastards will be too drunk to type ...

    I'll pass then.

Figured it was the kind of thing you would suggest to generate attention to the thread.:nownow:

To be honest I actually thought it might be fun to do a Super Bowl thread even though the Bears are not playing. Some of those Pick'em contest are odd and even ones so that's what I meant.
