Jack Reacher. Standard-fare action flick with midget Tom Cruise playing 6'5" -250lb badass Jack Reacher. Westworld. Dated, but still immensely entertaining. Public Enemy. Gangster classic with James Cagney. Ending scared the shit out of me when I first saw it when I was 10 or 11. The Roaring Twenties. Underrated gangster movie (again with Cagney, as well as Humphrey Bogart).
Finally caught this on a flight to Tokyo. Don’t think I could disagree with this review much more. Best QT film since Pulp Fiction IMO. Thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
Rise of Skywalker Was some good parts Was some bad parts I enjoyed it for the most part but it also at the same time left a kind of meh taste in the mouth. I wont go into much to not drop any spoilers but they did the one thing I said I would absolutely hate and I did indeed hate it. It was however not enough to ruin the movie for me. Some would call most of the beginning of the movie fast paced I call it choppy. IMHO it felt a but rushed like they wanted to make sure and get it out by a deadline and in some ways like they wanted to hurry up and get done with the Skywalker saga so they can move on to other Star Wars films. Liked it more than last Jedi but not as much as Force Awakens.
Shooter. Not a great movie (or even good, for that matter), but...well, let's just call it a guilty pleasure. Lots of bad guys getting killed, things getting blown up, Kate Mara looks great...
JOKER - Joaquin Phoenix was great, as usual....Let me just say, I'm not a fan of "Gotham City" or any of the Batman movies, but I enjoyed this movie very much. Absolutely worth a look.
Caught Mother! recently If you like your movies bizarre, disturbing, and unsettling with a heaping side of “WTF am I even watching?” this is the film for you. I’m a big fan of Aronofsky’s work, but I can see why this drew a lot of viscerally negative reactions. But I’m still thinking a lot about this a few days later, which I think is a sign of a pretty good movie.
