The Browns were the Preseason champions, the Ravens are the regular season champions. The Steelers will be the post season champions.
Good job Texans. Ravens need to win out now. Also, thanks to the 28 points the Texans put up on them, the Patriots are now sitting at 145 points allowed. The 2000 Ravens hold the record at 165. Pats have 4 games to average 5 ppg......with KC and Mahomes up next
Don't go to sleep on them Bills.... They have been sneaking under the radar and are only 1 game behind the Patriots in their division. This could be a big trap game for our Ravens again..... and the Bills have a ton to play their butts off for as follows...... They have a realistic shot at the AFC East, Bills remaining schedule Ravens H, @Steelers (winnable), @Patriots (must win), Jets H Patriots remaining schedule Chiefs H (not easy), @Bengals (W), Bills H (gotta win it), Dolphins H Basically the Bills need to go 3-1 with them beating the Patriots to get the division. They cannot afford to lose to us and the Pats though. The Patriot game is a MUST WIN or its Wildcard for the Bills. The Patriots have 3 home games out of 4, but the Chiefs and Bills games won't be easy with their offensive production in the tank right now. They can easily go 2-2 in this stretch and if they do, they will be a Wild Card team.
The Bills brought in a practically complete new offense. Some are rookies, and while their second & third round picks look like big hits, they’re still rookies. The Bills also brought in FA’s at WR and OL. It takes a minimum of six games for a revamped OL to gel. The Bills have started to come together nicely in the last few games. While that was an optimistic event, it is also somewhat predictable. I think that Allen’s marked improvement is a function of his work ethic, and the OL coming around. After Thanksgiving I do not think any team is going to take the Bills lightly. But, I will admit to thinking this could be a trap game for Baltimore after their hard-fought win on Sunday. The Bills will definitely give the Ravens a good fight. The defense will be one of their stiffer opponents this season. But, if the Bills are to win they need to step it up more than any game this year. Two things that are very fortunate for the Bills: the extra time since they played on Thanksgiving, and that they’re at home. I am a Bills fan, and I’m not going to call a Bills loss, but Baltimore is having a special season. I am not confident enough to go on record for what a Bills win could look like. It’s nice to have a very meaningful December game in Buffalo for the the first time in perhaps the entire millennium. Good luck, and have fun.
I don't think the Ravens will overlook the Bills. They are 9-3 this season, so even if the media ignores them, you can bet the players know. I was watching the Ravens highlights, and I took note of Lamar's throws. I saw roughly 3 throws that weren't ideal though it is tough to tell if one was a bit of an overthrow throwaway. Also, even though the game was extremely close and as a fan watching the game, I thought the 49ers were getting the better of it, on rewatch, if Jackson doesn't fumble the ball, the Ravens were in position to score again and go up by 10. The floodgates might have opened at that stage.
I can't see this being a trap game for this team. Lamar is the leader of the offense, but the defensive players also believe in him and follow his lead. Lamar Jackson will not overlook any team, not this year. His drive and competitiveness are too strong, and he still has a humble enough personality to know he'll take every game, every play, very seriously. I can't imagine the team doesn't follow that lead
So I was watching the Ravens vs Rams wired video, and something in that video made me remember this post and reaffirm my belief that this team won't have a trap game, at least not this year. After going up 28-6 before half time, Lamar is going around telling the team "it's 0-0". Even in a clear blowout, his mindset is that they have to treat every possession like it's a tie score. That's the kind of leadership that won't allow this team to fall into a trap game. Skip to 4:50 in the video if you don't care to watch the whole thing
