I, personally, don't have a problem with a team playing nasty. That may have been the missing piece to this team. Every successful team plays nasty. It's a nasty game. As long as they play nasty within the rules.
If the mission was we are gonna show the world how stupid we are and let our best player get himself suspended........definitely accomplished.
B U L L S H I T ! ! ! If one looks at the first 59 minutes, 52 seconds of the game, then the Browns did, in fact, accomplish that. Unfortunately, those last 8 seconds can not be cropped out of the game.
Unfortunately the full game counts. Outside of the opening touchdown and the pass rush....I wasn't impressed by Cleveland. Kitchens can't gameplan. How does he not gameplan around his backfield of Chubb and Hunt? Baker looks more mediocre with each passing week. OBJ either doesn't know the playbook or doesn't listen to playcalls in the huddle because he is not in tune with the offense. On defense they have a legit pass rush but lack gap control in the run game. And they are reckless and undisciplined. I'm sure a win against a team you hate deeply feels good though. The Browns, to me, are becoming yet another example that it takes more than just talent to be a good team. Not saying they can't turn it around this season or next....but right now it doesn't look good.
So you blame the Browns for "letting Myles get suspended"??? lol! No, I think the message was: Pittsburgh doesn't push Cleveland around anymore.....and I think that was pretty obvious.
Discipline comes from coaching, yes. No one physically made him do it or allowed him to but.... Players on teams with good or great coaching don't do those kinds of things. If it takes getting franchise bookend type players suspended in order to prove that....you're spitting into the wind.
Congrats.....come playoff time you'll be doing the same thing I will. Watching teams you don't like win or lose while the players you care about are vacationing.
Its too bad the Browns found a way to mar what was a great win and shouldve been a great night for the franchise.
The Randall hit was the really bad one. He had more than enough time to recognize the ball wasn't caught and pull up. And then he put his head down and ear-holed him. Randall's hit is suspension worthy all by itself. Terrible. He didn't have the football!
i applaud Lyman, as a longtime die-hard Browns fan, wanting Garrett suspended for a lengthy time, and how appalling this incident was.
Jesus TD it's called evolution. Lots of really bad things were done in the 70s and 80s and just like society the NFL has learned from those mistakes and sought to deter them. And who is "some of you"? I don't know the ages of everyone in here but I know many of the people commenting watched football in the 70s and 80s just like you. Your take on this whole thing has been pretty poor.
Totally agree. What Garrett did wasn't even part of football and that's how it should be treated. IMHO too much ground has already been ceded in the interests of "safety".
