This soundtrack is spooky as fk. One thing that really got me thinking was DeNiro being 76 years old and playing Sheeran who would've been 43 at the time of JFKs death. Man, the magic of hollywood and their make-up artists. Then there's Al Pacino who is 79 years old and playing a 51 year old Jimmy Hoffa.
I'm just trying to figure out what year the movie takes place. Hoffa died in '75, but they show a coffin with an American flag over it, I'm assuming that's JFKs funeral in '63. They can make them look younger and I doubt everybody that watches it really knows how old the real life people being portrayed were.
Martin Scorcese said the film takes place as the men as much younger so makeup was used a lot. I can't believe Pacino is 79.
MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN-Alec Baldwin is very solid in his role and I'm smelling Oscar Nomination. Willem Dafoe and Edward Norton are good in their roles. The plot isn't that hard to figure out but Norton, who also directed and wrote the movie, left Baldwin off the hook. That ruins it for me. Movie reminds me of a 50's crime movie with Bogart in it. Filmed very well and wherever they filmed looks like old Brooklyn. Loved the old cars in it. Solid overall, but needed a better ending. B+
Terminator only made $11 mil in the US this weekend making it the worst opening for any Terminator movie and now the movie looks like a huge flop and will cost millions as their advertising and film budget is over $200 mil. Ouch!
yeah im happy it's on netlfix so i can pause it and go to the bathroom! haha! it's longer than braveheart and titanic! haha.
who? movie production companies? or movie theaters? i don't understand your post. A lot of movies are being made via Netflix. It's the new wave of the future. Just don't ask Steven Spielberg about it. He doesn't think Netflix movies should be considered for Oscars as they are under different releasing, viewing and production criteria.
oh ok. most movies are only in the theater 1-3 weeks. it's not like the old days where a movie stayed in the theater for a month or more. hell titanic was in the theaters for nearly 3-4 months.
