In week 7, the Steelers were on their bye. Now the Steelers are at Heinz Field to host the Dolphins. For the Steelers to win: The Steelers need to play a complete game (Offense, Defense, Special Teams for 60 min.). The Steelers defense needs to pressure Ryan Fitzpatrick. The Steelers need to run the ball effectively. Mason Rudolph needs to come back strong from injury and play well. The Steelers need to score TDs when in the red zone (and when not). The Steelers need to protect the ball. They need to win the turnover battle. Alejandro Villanueva, Ramon Foster, Maurkice Pouncey, David DeCastro, and Matt Feiler need to play well as a unit. From Steelers Depot: Steelers Versus Dolphins Week 8 Projected Inactive List Paxton Lynch – Even with quarterback Mason Rudolph back from his concussion, the Steelers still chose to keep Lynch on their 53-man roster. However, even though the team is back to carrying three quarterbacks again on their 53-man roster, only two will be active Monday night and those two should be Rudolph and Devlin Hodges. Because of that, expect Lynch to be one of the Steelers seven inactives. Jaylen Samuels – The Steelers backup running back required a knee scope the Monday after the team’s Week 5 home loss and while he did practice fully this past week, it just feels like the Steelers will be cautious with Samuels Monday night and thus make him inactive. The Steelers will get fullback Roosevelt Nix back Monday night and still have running back Trey Edmunds on their 53-man roster to help on special teams. Samuels ended the week listed as questionable so there’s a chance he might play. Zach Gentry – With Nix finally back and Zach Banner dressing weekly and getting used as an extra blocker, there’s really no need for Gentry to dress and especially with him not being much of an asset on special teams. There’re just not enough hats to go around so I don’t expect the rookie tight end out of Michigan to get one Monday night. Donte Moncrief – The Steelers figure to get wide receiver James Washington back from his shoulder injury Monday night so that should result in one wide receiver being made inactive. Moncrief doesn’t have any special teams value and the team isn’t likely to dress him Monday night. If the Steelers cut Moncrief within the next few weeks, they can get a third-round compensatory pick back on the board. Might as well attempt to keep him as healthy as possible. Isaiah Buggs – With defensive end Stephon Tuitt now out for the remainder of the season, we’ll see a new defensive lineman dress Monday night and it figures to be defensive end L.T. Walton, who was re-signed a few weeks ago. While Walton hasn’t been with the team in the while, the Steelers might consider him a better option over the rookie Buggs still. Chukwuma Okorafor – The Steelers should dress Banner again Monday night along with the team’s interior offensive lineman backup, B.J. Finney, so that’s likely to result in tackle Okorafor being the odd-man out and thus one of the team’s seven inactives. Justin Layne – Assuming inside linebackers Mark Barron and Ulysees Gilbert III, the two other questionable players this week, dress and play Monday night, Layne could wind up being another one of the team’s seven inactive players. Layne has played all of 18 special teams snaps this season and none on defense.

The Steelers can't really overlook anyone this year for obvious reasons. Still, if tbey were going to, it would be Miami. Jump on this team and take their hearts out of the game
Absolutely agree ... in fact this should be their mantra for the rest of the season ... get on them fast and the the defense drive us home. we are such a work in progress ... all 3 phases... except for suffering through so many injuries, I haven't enjoyed the Steelers games as much in a long time. It's somewhat freeing to root for a team that is more like a college group... gonna grow and make ,mistakes... ( we are young enough to qualify for this comparison ) but also then comes less expectation and a different resolve to make great plays and to make great plays consistently enough to win on todays NFL ... I do think the defense is closer than the offense but offense has suffered more 1st player loss ... has had far less "full team" playing time. Mason seems so confident and a good to great study guy ... it really is on him first and foremost to crank that engine that has been getting stronger each time out on the field... go vertical, air it out ... make some connections and make it a habit. I look forward to great things tonight but if great things don't happen tonight, I look forward to great things the rest of the season.
Are you ready for some football?????? Some Monday Night Football? This is Howard Cowsell. Welcome to Pittsburgh to watch the Steelers of the AFCN take on the Dolphins from the AFCE.
There should now be zero doubt in anyone's mind (except for Beachbuns') that Ben Roethlisberger CARRIED Tubby Tomlin.
There was never a doubt in my mind....Big Ben has been the face of this franchise since his rookie....he makes everyone around him better
About the worst possible start for the Steelers...Rudolph looks bad, defense cannot tackle, and now they are down 14
