Peters will be easier to pay (if he plays well the rest of this season) than Ramsey would be. Ramsey will want stupid amounts of money. DeCosta did well today, Kenny Young wasn't staying in his gaps, he was overrunning plays and taking himself out of position constantly to the point where he was a healthy scratch this past week.
Oh don't get me wrong, I love the trade. I'll take, for example, a top 15 CB for a 5th we stole and a benched player over a top 5 CB for two 1st round picks and a 4th. Especially when both need to be paid next year and the latter will demand a much higher contract. What I meant was that we still play the Rams. Would have rather seen them with no Talib, no Peters, and no Ramsey. On the plus side, Lamar did practice against Ramsey and the Jags for a week in preseason. Of course the same positive is there for Ramsey
Especially when both need to be laid next year and the latter will demand a much higher contract. Wow RR, that is a lot of personal information about them. LOL, I know you meant PAID.
so I have seen a couple of rumors that the Ravens are on the market for a pass rusher to address the biggest weakness on our defense. The name Yannick Ngoukue (likely butchered that one) and Solomon Thomas were mentioned. Any thoughts on the validity of that or the players themselves? I only know Yannick from his Terps days. I know he was an impact pass rusher over the last few years but would those be good fits or throwing assets after bad stop gaps?
Yannick has had no less rhan 8 sacks a year in his NFL career and is 24 until March. Considering DeCosta talked about how much it sucked to not have a 2nd, if he pulls off getting Yannick for nothing higher than a 3rd (even if another pick or player is included), it'll let me know the Jags are in rebuild mode and that DeCosta is a trading god. Thomas is decent but not quite the same as a pass rusher. Both the 49ers and Jags recently drafted talented DEs fairly high (Nick Bosa and Josh Allen) so whereas I could see them getting rid of players, it feels like it makes less sense for the 49ers, who ade undefeated mostly off the strength of their defense, than it does the Jags
