    THE GOOD:
The Steelers get a win - an AFC win.
The Steelers head the right way into their bye week.
The Steelers controlled the game pretty much from start to finish.
    The Steelers run defense
Devlin Hodges completed 15 of 20 passes for 132 yards 1 TD 1 INT
Snell rushed 17 times for 75 yards
Conner rushed 16 times for 41 yards and 1 TD
Conner caught all 7 targets for 78 yards 1 TD
Bush had one of Rivers 2 INTs and a fumble recovery for a TD
Sutton had the other of Rivers 2 INTs
Watt and Chickillo shared a QB Sack
Boswell was 1/1 FG 3/3 XP

    THE BAD:
    Stephon Tuitt pectoral injury
Phillip Rivers completed 26 of 44 passes for 320 yards 2 TD 2 INT
The Steelers giving up 17 4th-quarter points while score 0 points

    THE UGLY:
The Steelers are 2-4 on the season with many injured players.
The Steelers would have been in first place in the AFCN if they would have defeated the Ravens the previous week.

The good: Steelers nation making this feel like a home game for Hodges. First start on the road can be rough but not when your fans out number their fans. Now yes part of that is the chargers fans dont support thier team very well (not even when they were in San Diego) but give credit for steeler nation showing up in force despite it being a rough season so far.

Good - Dupree, Berry, game plan & execution, OL not giving up a sack, Ducks poise and confidence. That performance up to about the 10min mark of 4th quarter brought a tear to my eye.

Bad - from the 10 min mark to the end, defense resorted to being unable to get off field and gave up chunks of yards and points. Game should not have come down to an onside kick and a Sutton INT to end game.

Ugly - Tuitt pectoral injury. Ducks downfield throwing. Not sure how many throws he made over 10-15 yards but the 2 I remember were an under thrown pass to JuJu that “could” have been a TD and the INT. This is a game I thought they would lose hence I’m raising my projected record for them to 7-9.

    Good: the obvious

Bad: prevent defense with 10mins left in the game
    What. The. Fuck?

Ugly: relying on the back line of the end zone to stop Rivers in the 4th quarter

The ugliest of the ugly - the 2 phantom hands to the face calls that took away a win from Detroit

If the Redskins want Tomlin trade him for their first rd pick. Trade Ben for a first or second.

Rudolph and Hodges are both capable of leading us anywhere Ben can at this point

Hire Munchak as HC. Hire a new parking lot attendant

    After 6 weeks, here are the AFCN standings;
    1. Ravens 4-2-0 (2-1 in the division)
    2. Browns 2-4-0 (1-0 in the division)
    3. Steelers 2-4-0 (1-1 in the division)
    4. Bengals 0-6-0 (0-2 in the division)
I am going predict, right here and now, as the Browns and Steelers both enter their bye week - that the Steelers will win the AFC North.

I like the prediction and I agree but Rudolph will have to play well for it to happen. Losing Tuitt was a BIG blow to the defense.

I would agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

3 of the losses by the Steelers were by 9 points, and two of those losses were sealed with last minute fumbles (1 against the 5-0 49ers and the other the 4-2 Ravens). This team could very easily have been 4-2 or even 5-1 even after losing Ben. Kind of shows how good the defense has been, because the offense hasn’t moved the ball consistently all season. Tuitt is going to be a big loss, but I think Alualu and Hargrave will be adequate. Not great like Tuitt was playing, but not horribly either. Don’t know if it’ll be enough to overtake the Ravens, who just traded for Peters from the Rams. If Rudolph starts to open it up some, then I’ll start to get on your level Lyman. Until he starts consistently completing passes longer than 5 yards, the Steelers are stuck in 2nd place at best.

On a side note, if Baker learns to tune out the outside noise and just play ball, he might start having better results IMO. Seems like weekly he’s making headlines bantering with people who he shouldn’t even care about. I mean, arguing with Rex Ryan? Why? That shit with Bosa? Nice comeback, but means nothing after getting beat down. You already have OBJ who’s bound to start making waves for not getting the ball enough, don’t need to add to it. Again, just my opinion on that. The team hasn’t had a winning season in how long? Should really keep their mouths shut and take care of business. They’re talented as hell still, still a scary team for anyone to play. Just seams from the outside at least that winning games is not the primary focus for some of their players. Same could be said of many teams though...

The Steelers really do have a favorable stretch of games coming up

The last game in Baltimore could really be a big game now. The Rams are really changing our future opponents team strength. The Ravens got Peters and the Rams got Ramsey. I hope our defense is up to the task

They do have a favorable schedule most of the way which will likely lead to the Steelers looking better than they really are or they could go out and lay some eggs.

Would it really shock anybody if they were to loose to miami coming out of the bye? There is no wsy they should loose to them with two weeks to prepare for one of the worst teams in the nfl and that is why fans should be scared.

Nothing shocks me with this team. Still, I sometimes wonder if alot of the playing down to teams starts with Big Ben. Does he mail it in thinking he can pull it off at the end? Rudolph is a different type of person. I hope he's young and hungry with something to prove.

I would be blown away if they win five of the next seven. Maybe that's too much to hope for.

    Steelers Inactive Players

    FB Roosevelt Nix
    QB Mason Rudolph
    WR James Washington
    RB Jaylen Samuels
    CB Steven Nelson
    ILB Mark Barron
    DE Isaiah Buggs

    + Ben R on IR

by games end all the above and TJ, Joe, Stephon and James

that’s a total of 11 starters not in the game by the 4th Q, and the announcers had the gaul to pity poor Philip because he had 3 starters inactive. They also got back their first string TE and RB for the entire game … and not one, mention, not one... of the 11 starters for the Steelers MIA before during and after the game…

and we beat them on their home field convincingly. Is it any wonder Rivers made a comeback at the end of the game… only half our starters were on the field at that point.

Yeah, I’m a homer but this perfectly horrendous fact checking combined with my disgust every time Fouts is in the booth for one of our games … truly made the win that much more satisfying.

GO STEELERS... and sorry for the rant but had to get it off my chest...
