This might prove to be a pretty good week for the Bears

Not if Trubisky is going to be out for a while. It will be a good week if the prognosis is good.

I should have explained what I said. I mean if a lot of the other teams lost this week.

Are we really concerned about Mitch’s health from a winning games perspective?

    He stinks, remember?

Two things can be true. Mitch stinks but still gives us a better chance to win than Chase in the long run.

    Good game, Bears fans !

    Thorough, total and complete domination.

Good luck from here on out... hope Trubisky is going to be ok.

Nick Williams has 4 sacks in 2 games.

And he’s the 5th best defensive lineman on this roster.

The Vikings were entirely unprepared for Chase Daniel and it showed. Daniel demonstrated that he clearly knows the offense and how to take what a defense gives but Mitch has the talent.

If Mitch is out a period of time, Daniel is going to get figured out, and 16 points on offense probably isn't beating Philly, LA Rams and Bolts, or Detroit in coming weeks. It wont beat New Orleans with Brees if he's back.

Watching Daniel be a 'game manager' made this game really aggravating to watch at times, even though this is a big W. Ugh, why must the bears be in perpetual football purgatory?

Also: Nicks Kwiatkowski and Williams get game balls.

    Damn straight they do

Honestly I think he didn’t do much in the way of prep because of the golfing, but yeah, terrible outing for him.

This defense is amazing. #44 I’ve been skeptical of and he blew up in a MAJOR way today, absolutely made several Vikings his bitch. The whole team was playing like it was the goddamn super bowl, shocking. Why couldn’t they do that shit against the Peckers.

Too early to call Mack a lock for Canton? And Gruden gave him up. This guys motor is unbelievable.

Let me get this straight. You found the game manager coming in and being a game manager(and also playing as well as could be expected) against a very good D, irritating. But the guy who's not a game manager but is having to play like a game manager cos he's sucked, is something you think we should all embrace and enjoy?

Dude do you have any idea what a double standard you are applying to the QB position here?

  20. patg006 M.V.P. Bears

I’m not applying any double standard. When Mitch is a starter, he’s expected extend to make plays even though in 2019 thus far he’s left much to be desired. Or did we not spend the last week arguing/agreeing on that?

Chase Daniel’s job isn’t to be a starter expected to make big throws. Last week, Mitch’s game plan was dinking and dunking because the redskins couldn’t stop 5 and out routes and it worked without him turning the ball over. My argument for those of you still living in a world without optimism was that his stat line was good enough when some of you argued that he “constantly missed those whopping 2 deep ball targets.”

Chase was boring, limited, and efficient, and I don’t believe that’s going to work on 4 (5 if Drew Brees plays) of the next 6 opponents, especially if/when they’ll have to gameplan for Chase Daniel as the starter, which the Vikings weren’t expecting.

I don’t want a game manager but an injury back up situation is what it is. Mitch isn’t one, even though he’s won by being one. But I’m sure you’ll drop a Josh McCown or Brian hoyer statline on me next.....

Chase Daniel is what he is, and they won, part in fact that Minnesota planned for Mitch, part in that Nagy schemed so that the vikes looked like a 3rd down Lovie defense against a quick slant everybody knew was coming except Lovie.

Chase Daniel is a game manager. The bears have won with Mitch being more than that.

    Please understand the differentiation.
