    I still think Baker is going to be the real deal, statistically and/or simply winning and leadership. I also love SAS for his unabashed fandom, and his one sided arguments in favor of my Browns

    Baker Mayfield holds the longest current active streak for games with a touchdown thrown, at 17.

    Mayfield also has the second-longest streak for touchdowns thrown in consecutive games since his first start. The only QB with a longer streak was HOF Kurt Warner - 23.

    We've had one tie already this season. Rooting like hell for our second tonight...

    Whew... that was tough to watch.

    Safe to say the Ravens and Browns should both sweep the division and the Bengals should be taking a QB in the Top 3 this offseason.

    I was beside myself with the way our Browns spanked the Ravens. Incredibly impressive game all around.

    Being a Browns fan for more years than I like to admit, I can't help wondering if they'll come out next week with the same commitment. Will they pull out the articles and media reports of their dominance, and think they can coast to another victory, or are they now ready to apply the focus and the mental toughness they displayed vs Baltimore.

    If the team that beat Baltimore shows up, we're good. If any version short of that flies west they'll be hard pressed to come home winners.

    Last week was a "gut check". Well done. In some ways Freddie's job this week may be harder: trying to tamp down the glow of that success, and stress the kind of effort that game took, and keep the fire burning.

    Game on!

    I guess they needed 9 sacks to impress you?

    Not sure I follow...

    Pittsburgh has always had a very good defensive line. Cincinnati has had one of the worst offensive lines the past several seasons. I'm not surprised by how many sacks or how bad Cincinnati looked. It was tough to watch because it's embarrassing how bad Cincinnati is.

  12. SAS M.V.P. Rams Chargers

    Amount of sacks picked up against a bad Cincinnati team isn't going to impress me, but I also am not trying to take anything away from Pittsburgh... they lead the league in sacks as a team last season, too. This season, y'all are tied for third in the NFL with *checks notes* America's Team - the Cleveland Browns.

    I thought Cleveland was going 5-1 in the division this season. You lost your best player. I think that means we can sweep you. Nothing personal... you're still a very good team.

    Road to 13-3

    @SFO: Win
    SEA: Win

    @NWE: Win
    @DEN: Win

    Second quarter of the season is the toughest challenge for the team. San Francisco not so much, they're over-hyped. But Seattle is a NFC Championship contender and New England is the (always) reigning Super Bowl champ. Picking up the Seattle win is counting on home-field advantage. Winning against New England is going to be two weeks to prepare. Denver is a throw away and should be an easy win.

    BUF: Win
    PIT: Win
    MIA: Loss
    @PIT: Win

    Buffalo is a junior high school offense with a top tier defense. Low scoring, but winnable. Pittsburgh will be a contest, but winnable at home and a closer one on the road. Miami - hear me out - gets a mercy win. Browns know, better than anyone, the sting of going 0-16. As such, Browns treat it as a bye week, don't install an offense, and take a knee where appropriate to lift them to 1-15.

    CIN: Win
    @ARI: Win
    BAL: Win
    @CIN: Win

    Laying 50 on Baltimore and choking their players during the game, just because. Cinicinnati is going 0-16 and they're not getting a mercy win against Cleveland. Arizona is a bad team.

    This is the road to 13-3. Worst case scenario is 11-5.

    Y'all... I hyped a team hard af that end up going 0-16.

    I will be insufferable and might not know what to do with myself if (when) we win the division and hit the post season. Last time we made the post season, I was still on a learner's permit.

    Sammy, I admire your fandom. I prefer to look at things in smaller buckets and will only respond to the next quarter of the season.

    @SFO:
    Yes, the 49ers are still undefeated (with a Bye week). However, their Adjusted Opponent's Record (combined W/L record minus games involving the 49ers) is 3-6-0 [0.333] (Rank = tied for 26th with the Ravens - among others). By comparison, the Browns' Adjusted Opponent's Record is 5-6-0 [0.455] (Rank = 19th). The 49ers are -1 in turnover differential, the Browns are +1.

    The Browns are 2-0 in road games (both in the Eastern Time Zone). West coast trips are tough for teams in the east. But good defense travels well and if our tackles can slow down a Bosa brother, I like our chances in Levi Stadium.

    Browns win.

    SEA:
    No 12th man for the Seahawks at First Energy Stadium. Wanna guess who has the 32nd ranked Adjusted Opponents Record through 4 weeks? Seattle at 3-8-1 [0.250]. These two teams are similar in just about every way and the outcome is probably a push. Browns have to win a home game sooner or later.

    Browns win.
    @NWE:

    Don't care what the Patriots' Adusted Opponent's Record is (its 4-7-0, Rank = 25th), nobody beats the Patriots in Foxborough. Our 3 game road win streak comes to an end.

    Browns loss.
    @DEN:

    Even though the Broncos have played better teams so far this year (Adjusted Opponent Record is 6-6-0, Rank = 12), the fact is they're quarterback challenged and just lost half of their pass rush to IR. Time to exorcise some Mile High demons and start a new road win streak.

    Browns win.
