im sure i missed a few fake athletes, but this is a good starting point. to me it's a tough call between Roy Hobbs, Dean Youngblood and Jimmy Chitwood.

Hobbs single handedly carried the NY Knights to the pennant.
Dean Youngblood is coming off a 192 goal season in his last season.
Jimmy Chitwood never misses a shot and carried the Hickey team to the Indiana State Championship Title.

Yeah i thought of him as well and it's just so ridiculous i wasn't wasting my time. when he was on the roof of Yankee stadium and not wanting to come down, i was hoping he would jump the hell off. so ridiculous of a movie.

Man, that's a solid mention and may be hard to top that kind of athleticism...

Not a sports movie but Reggie Jackson as Reggie Jackson in the Naked Gun. That robot-esque walk of his as he gets the gun from under 2nd base and approaches the VIP box......."I must kill the queen....." until of course he's flattened by the big girl from the upper deck.

Every time this is on TV I remember Drew Carey's joke about the last 5 seconds of the game is like watching Bernie Kosar scrambling for a 1 yard gain.

Charles Jefferson #33 ! One game performance can't cut it. The actor who portrayed him is Oscar winner Forest Whitaker.
