Never said Clausen didn't have skill. Never said 4 HS titles is something to sneeze at. He's irrelevant because 1) we're separating the athlete from the team accomplishments, and 2) Clausen isn't a multi-sport athlete. Why don't you create a thread for "Most Titles by a HS Athlete"? EVERY athlete is the beneficiary of help from teammates - but you're now acting like Ainge is somehow this rare athlete who was blessed with all these fantastic athlete teammates whose job it was to make Ainge look better. How is it he's the ONLY ONE to be AA in THREE sports?
im not acting like anything. skinny brought this whole thing up on Ainge. the voting process to be an AA is subjective. to me he was a very good college basketball player and a great HS athlete. he was a decent pro player that had the benefit of being on a great team. i already stated i think Jackson and Sanders were better dual or multi- sport athletes. no need to state anything else.
Just to state the obvious, I'm looking at Ainge through homer blue jays goggles. The Ainge baseball era takes me back to a different time. No denying, AA in three separate sports and being named national hoops player of the year in college while being a starter in MLB is an accomplishment.
Yes, I'm aware who the OP was. If there was 'no need to state anything else,' and we're in agreement re: Sanders, Bo, then maybe you shouldn't have said you had a problem with something I wrote. Just sayin'.
omg really axe ? that's your beef bc i said "i have a problem with that? wow. sorry. most of these post someone had a problem with what someone else posted. i had a problem with skinny's stance on ainge like BWW did?
LMAO! What "beef"...?!? You said you had a problem with something I wrote; my response when someone says that is to 1) clarify or explain my position in case there was a misunderstanding; or 2) make a rebuttal. I'm not the one here telling others if they should or shouldn't state something else. Jesus, Cat, when you get so sensitive?
